  • Oh my god, I think I might have had some unathorised transactions on my Visa debit card. There is a debit transaction to Morrisons for £13.02 and I haven't been near Morrisons since last Sunday when I spent £111! (Thanks to this spending diary I know that for a fact). I'm going to ring them now.

  • Panic over. Rang the bank and she told me the transaction was made on 28th October. As that was during 'head in sand' phase, I wasn't keeping a track of my money then so can't dispute whether it is actually mine or not and the balance of probability (no dodgy transactions since and the fact that it's in Morrisons) points to the fact it is probably mine although lord knows why they have waited so long to take it! So, I'll have to make an adjustment from my savings to cover it. BAH!!!

Nicked from FF's thread: Money saving things to be proud of today
    1. Got £3 Luncheon Vouchers from doing a Pinecone survey that ended after answering yes to the question: "do you or any of your family work in......"
    2. Took my own lunch to work.
    3. Pre-ordered 1.5 bottles of wine for my Christmas party on 11th December. I'm not a big boozer so figure I should have enough to get blethered on £12! I was expecting to have to take at least £30 with me for the bar. (Hotel).
    4. Went to Lidl to buy my life&diet saving cans of Pepsi Max where they are 4 for £1 rather than £2.50 for 6 cans at Morrisons. (stocked up and got 12 cans).
    5. Found Amazon parcel that I had reported as not delivered in my bottle recycling bin! Postman had put it there and not put a letter through door. Lucky I checked as it's recycling day tomorrow and as DH has packed in boozing, I have not had to go in there for a few days so I don't know how long it's been there.
    6. Had three biscuits at work's expense.
    7. Had the heating on, but didn't put the fire on even though I was still cold. Shouted at the kids for leaving the doors open!
    8. Dad gave me some frozen pizzas (4) and a packet of southern fried chicken dippers for the kids!!! (they think my 30-year-old brother is still about 12 LOL)
    ....and that's all for today!
