Hello there JC! Thank you for your lovely message, I can't say I have been particularly disciplined this year but I hope to change all of that next year. I've got used to doing a budget now and cutting down on my grocery budget. I'm lucky in that Morrisons is my local supermarket, and I'm within distance of Tesco, Aldi & Lidl, being organised is my main problem but I'm discovering that all it takes is a little effort :j:j:jStart Date: 27/11/2010

YES!!!! I'm done with buying for 'everyone else'. Probably will get another couple of bits for the kids between now and the big day but it will be stocking fillers. I need to now:
1. Put decorations up. I will need to buy some more hanging things cos mine are years old now, and make my house look more like santa's grotty than santa's grotto!
2. Write Xmas cards (got loads in last year's sale).
3. Buy wrapping paper and sellotape and get wrapping!!
We're off to my mum & dad's for Christmas lunch again. I did invite them to us, but the fact that they have a big dining table and we eat off our knees swung it.Start Date: 27/11/2010

- other spends = £4.99 on Match of the Day magazine / £1.59 on Piccalilly which DH put into the trolley as he likes it. He's the only person in the house who will eat it, so it;s NOT coming off my grocery budget! / ditto £0.97 on a single bottle of Dr Pepper! = £7.55

Needless to say DH and DS2 are never coming shopping with me again, no matter how bored they are! I did get a bargain though, a big boneless joint (4.5kgs in weight) of stuffed pork for £7.70 which I have cut into three joints (one of which we are having for our tea tonight). Also got three 800g packs of mince for £10.00 so I should be able to make some stuff out of that and freeze it. I'm going to have a go at making some ordinary buns with icing on them this week and if it's a success I can make some for DS2's Xmas party next week.
So, not much other money left but only have just over a week to go, and apart from £20 that I am taking with me for my work's Christmas do next Friday, I don't have any money spending plans so hopefully it should last and perhaps (laughs hysterically) I might even have some money leftover by the time payday comes around??
Even if I don't have any money leftover, that can't be too bad after a five weekend month can it?Start Date: 27/11/2010
