Thanks for the advice on the sauces. I do have a Delia Smith book THAT I HAD FORGOTTEN ALL ABOUT!!! I'll dig it out, not sure what one it is, but it's got a white cover....

I've stopped stressing about next month's money. I did a budget last night and I actually have £273.00 for 'everything else' which is the same amount I have had for this month, give or take a few quid!
Feeling loads better now, and looking forward to tonight. I've drawn £30 cash out of the bank but I hope to have plenty still left in my purse tomorrow. I've had a look to see what time the last bus home is and it's 10:35 so unfortunately it looks like I will have to fork out £7 for a taxi home, but at least I can get the bus into town on the way there. I also can't drink wine without it being diluted with lemonade so I'll have to probably buy a pint or two of the stuff.
I should be proud of the fact that I have a good amount of money left at this time of the month - even DH has had to sub £20 out of next month's allowance!
I was also thinking that maybe as of next payday I go to Morrisons twice a week (Sunday and Wednesday). It's on my doorstep practically and hopefully I wont spend as much money. I'm going to give it a try!Start Date: 27/11/2010

£3.00 (sent with DS2 to football, to pay for a football party)

Grocery Budget: £300 / 0.00 / £-10.61 over budget (boohoo)

My night out was brilliant, I had such a good time but oh my word, I was so drunk. It was such a laugh. I hope I didn't show myself up too much or offend any of the non drinkers!!!! I managed not to spend any money apart from taxi home. The wine was drinkable without any lemonade, and I always seemed to be around the bar at the same time my boss was buying drinks, so I managed to cop for a few freebies!
Have to go and buy sandwich stuff tomorrow but apart from that, I shouldn't need to spend tomorrow or Monday!Start Date: 27/11/2010

Made last week's mistake of taking DS2 and DH to Morrisons with me again, and ended up spending £4.99 on a magazine for DS2 - GRRRR. Rest was spent on groceries. I had to get sandwich stuff, pop, potatoes and fresh veg.

Also doesn't look like we will get to Tuesday without needing to put some petrol in the car again. GRRR. It's very close to the red.
And DS2 has a Christmas party to go to this evening from 5pm-7pm where there will doubtlessly be a bar so I'll have to fund that as well. His friend's kid is going too, but the friend asked DH to pay for it as he couldn't get to footy, so we should be getting that back tonight. I hope he just gives it back without us having to ask for it!
DS1 got £6 given to him in tips on his paper-round, I thought that was so lovely. I didn't expect people to tip him but it's a lovely gesture when they doStart Date: 27/11/2010

Some people! Humph! Consider this a ginormous kick up the derrierre for so many reasons. First you are f*ng fabulous you have lost an astronomical amount of weight in the run up to X-mas and secondly you have cold hard cash left at the end of the month. It may not be a huge amount but the month before Christmas thats a heck of an achievement. You are far too hard on yourself. Think back to all those months when you were over budget and be proud that this month you are under it. Then pay it off a debt of some description and be extra smug that you can make overpayments a mere nine days before Christmas.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500
