    Good morning,

Another early riser here. DS(aged4) called me this morning at 5am. He was very hot and coughing. By the time I'd stripped him off, sat him on my bed, fetched him a drink and given him some ibuprofen I was wide awake.

He is sitting on the sofa now, watching tv and shouting orders now and then for things that he wants. I have had the cold for the last week, and still don't feel great, so I think we'll be staying in today.

Not sure about OS today. Just keeping warm and drinking plenty. The tree is up, and I did the grocery shopping on my way home from work last night, so we should be ok. It's his nativity play tomorrow though. I hope he's feeling a bit better by then or they will be minus one sheep.

    Take care all of you

In my calendar today – a bear in a basket :santa2:

The hatch is in line with the bannister so if I fell, I'd end up at the bottom of the stairs :rotfl: I'll have to wait til he gets home from work.

Firstly - a bear in a basket?? That seems pretty random..:rotfl: :rotfl:
Secondly - PLEASE wait til your OH gets home.. we can't have you lying at the bottom of the stairs all day! (anything to get out of the housework!)

    Anyway, I digress!

Morning all - wow, I am so early. Couldn't sleep, the sun is shining so I am here with an old CD on that I love to listen to.

I read the green type above perfectly well, but maybe it's cos I have a 19 inch screen, I am rather spoiled with that.

Squiggly - glad you liked the song *giggles*:rotfl:
Donny-gal – I have to admit to quite liking Cliff really. Am a huge fan of his wonderful cheesy films - watched Summer Holiday more times than is healthy for me really when I was young!

Thinking of Lesley and the LO. Thank you redruby and everyone for mentioning Tristan again. I haven't spoken to him or heard from him for two nights now.

The decorator has done all the paintwork and the ceiling and today is wallpaper day which is always the exciting part I think. Bathroom and hall stairs are covered in dust from the rubbing down, but at least this morning the paint smell has gone.

Have cards to make and write today.

OH went shopping in FarmFoods yesterday for the first time and came home with two bags of shopping for just about £9, so we were pleased. Plus we picked up a half price beef joint and a pork one from Somerfield. Pork is for sunday and beef is in freezer for Christmas with the turkey.

Am in mourning today for Woolworths. We have a huge one in the centre of our little town and when I was young, it had escalators which in the 70's in sleepy south Devon was a really exciting thing - no other shop in Torbay had escalators. It made Woolworths magical to me and my sister and we would often wait for mum to shop and just go up and down the escalators for ages. :rotfl: . In the late 80's they ripped them out to give them more selling space, but it was never the same. However, Woolys has a place in my heart I guess that means I feel really upset that they are going.
Oh well, none of that was OS so I better stop now..smileyhug.gifto everyone who needs them today, and getwell.gifto everyone who is under the weather.

    Morning All,

I still have 2 off sick today, thats 2 out of 3 home sick every day since monday of last week  I am about to tear my hair out!!! On the plus side I am feeling a bit brighter today and have managed to do the hoovering and clean the dishwasher, got a mega load of laundry to fold today.

I spent some time yesterday sorting out my SOA for the DFW board. It took some time and to be honest was a bit of a wake up call as it looks healthier than I thought. DH and I are both awful with money and tend to use our cards rather than cash and I think thats one of the reasons we are going well beyond our means each month. So today I will be ringing the CC companies I need to cancel or change etc.

Did a trawl around last night online and have managed to find 2 dentists in my area taking on new NHS patients. My teeth are in a terrible state after last years lapse with bulimia, a lot of fillings have fallen out and chunks of teeth have fallen off due to acid errosion. I am going to join with the one who can see me first!!!

Love and Hugs to all and CONGRATS to the PP'S xxx

Just popped in to say thanks for everyones kind words yesterday, much appreciated. The OH didn't win her tribunal for DLA yesterday but she was awarded the lower rate care allowance.

Busy day in work today, typical. I'll try & pop back later & have a proper read of what everyone is upto.

Yeah I know :D It's actually a gift basket, there's other stuff too but it's so small it just looks like tiny blobs of choc. lol.

Don't worry, I won't be throwing myself down the stairs :rotfl: I still can't find that ladder. How do you lose a ladder? It's not like it's small :D

I only had enough flour for 2 loaves of bread  Never mind, I'm going shopping tomorrow. I have to get changed - only been dressed for 30 mins - Lily (piggie) has just peed on me.

Our friend has just invited us to a 'laid-back caroling and eating' evening he's putting on next thursday for the homeless. He has this amazing radar that tells him who's genuine and who isn't - it comes from spending most of his days on the streets with them. So for the next week, I'm going to be nagging everyone I know to donate things for Christmas hampers to give out.

    Morning everyone

very cold and frosty here today, i`ve just got back with the dawgies from their walk and they are now both flaked out. Little oldie is fast asleep and snoring on his new bed and the forever growing younger one is laid at my feet. AW - she`s a mummys girl really :D

The washing is hung on the rad airers again and i have 2 large piles of ironing to [STRIKE]hide[/STRIKE] put away upstairs when i next go up.
Tea tonight is the rest of last nights chilli with jacket potatoes so i don`t actually need to cook today unless i make a start on tomorrows spag bol. I do need to do next weeks meal plan though as i`m a bit late with it. I need to get organised as it`s our works "do" tomorrow and Saturday is shopping day so i won`t get it sorted out otherwise.

Now that i`ve sat down and thawed out a bit i`ve gone all tired and could just go back to sleep :o mum has just txt me with the title of a book that she would like for Christmas so i shall order it and then make myself get up and stand under a nice hot shower - hopefully i shall feel a bit more human afterwards.

Mioliere - I am glad to hear that the little one is improving, fingers crossed for more good news soon.

Taplady - ((((HUGS)))) for your wonderful friend

Diva - Any news from Tristan?

Happy Anniversary to the PennyPinchers :bdaycake: have a good day!

Keep warm peeps and have a good day.

    Morning all,

I'm off out in a few mins to meet a friend for coffee. Also going to try and hit the woolies sale and get the last few little things I need (well almost all of them), impressed with myself as I've made a list :)

Will be pasta with hm pasta sauce for dinner tonight, it's more like a soup the sauce but I think it'll work out ok.

Going to OH's parents on 20th for a bit of a shindig as they're off to Austrailia for a month over christmas (leaving christmas eve), I have decided that I will make some Twink's and dip them in chocolate to take as they look quite posh that way, hopefully she might be a little impressed!

Very cold here today, will have to go and wrap up warm.

*huggles* to all those who are poorly/worrying about their jobs or who just want or need one. Glad to hear the lo is breathing on her own, will keep her in my thoughts. Take care and keep warm.

Mudgekin - Lesley's family are being very brave, her partner is an absolute star - I cant praise him highly enough for everything he's doing and her youngest daughter who is pregnant is taking very good care of her. Her closest friends are popping in every day and the family have made us so welcome. I am very grateful to be able to spend time with her. Thankyou for asking and welcome to the OS daily x
