I hope there's no problems with the online bookings! I would much rather do it that way, but thought I'd better book a telephone slot just in case. The chap certainly didn't infer that there was a problem with MY booking specifically - in fact he didn't know I had an online slot until I told him? I had email confirmation of the online slot straight after I booked it, and all seems normal with it (except that so many people have easily got the same slot, even when booking much later on) Weird indeed.
I guess it can't hurt to have them booked to call me anyway, if I can't log in for some reason or the site crashes or behaves strangely at least I've still got a chance of getting something, though I'd much prefer to do it online as I tend to get in a bit of a fluster lol.
I'm not sure if this would be the case but it says when that the last slot you book is the one you have to use on all the online info so just wondering if this means your original slot has gone now the telephone person booked a later one?? :eek:0 -

Hello, can anyone tell me what happens if one tries to log onto the next website and it doesnt let you, when you come to your confirmed time of `shopping` (vip slot). I have had an confirmation email for my slot tomorrow but at the moment the website wont let me log in.
I am just wondering if it happens tomorrow will i have to ring them? Also, does one get half an hour to shop or is it half an hour to start logging in,iyswim? you usually cant log into your account until your time slot has begun, bu tif you do have any problems, its fairly easy to phone them and put the order through too, although actually getting through to a service advisor can take a while
you can shop for as long as you want, but must put at least one item in your basket during your time slot, to stop you being chucked out. however, i find that if you havent filled your basket and checked out within 5 mins, then you may find that all the items you have in your basket have disappeared. I know its not moneysaving to pay several delivery charges, but its best to have a few lists, one with your must haves on that you quickly add to your basket and then checkout with, so you dont loose those. then have another list, with your 2nd choices, that you do after your first order has been completed. you can place as many orders within your 30mins as you want.
their email also states they are limiting items in your basket, but arent saying how many. could be that that 20items is the limit, so you have to do several baskets anyway. i think this is to counter the people who shop to sell-on from getting the bulk of the stock

Unfortunately, it does not happen. I ordered a top for £28 just before the last sale and it stated delivery in 2 weeks. It therefore arrived during the sale and it had been reduced to £12 but I had been charged the £28. Rang and queried it but because it was ordered at full price, it was despatched at full price

last year following a post on here, i rang customer services i think, after the sale had started, ie at 6.00pm, and said i wanted to place an order. she took my order, and gave me the prices, i said, oh is that sale price, she adjusted everything and i got a huge order at sale prices.

Can i ask a question to the people who got a VIP slot emailed to them.
We've been a next customer for quite a few years but have never got an invite.
I've clicked all the things on my account to get updates etc but never get anything from them about promotions etc.
So i got my dh to call them up to enquire about it.
After waiting on the phone for 15 mins he was told that we wouldn't get an invite as our account has been marked as 'inactive' because we haven't used it since July this year :rolleyes:
I spent over £120 in July.... am i supposed to order something every month just so my account doesn't get marked as inactive.
So i was wondering if those of you that have been given a VIP, have you been using your account all year long?
Don't see why our account should be marked as inactive just because we haven't ordered since July.... seems rather unfair.
Looks like my dh will have to battle the crowds in the shops instead :rotfl: ... i'll stay at home & keep warm

I didn;t get an email invite and regularly order from them..in fact I have items to go back now which i must arrange.
i notice the slots are now from 9pm so the official invites are def on their way out.0 -
