I was surprised when they rang, but it only seems weird now that nobody else has reported the same. I have no reason to think the call was a wind-up - I could hear other telephone operators in the background, and from his name and accent I would say the gentleman who phoned was not British-born, which all seems normal these days. Plus I can't see how what he said was particularly strange, only a bit puzzling. He asked for me by my full name but didn't ask for any account details or 'sensitive' info, and none of my friends or family would do this to be funny. Tis a mystery.

This is the first time I haven't had a slot and I am starting to wonder if it is because I asked them to stop sending the directory because it always gets nicked by neighbours. Maybe they have made my account inactive. I am going to check this.
All those who did not get a VIP invite, do you have the directory book delivered to you?
And, are there any people with VIP slots who have asked next to stop sending the book?:naughtyHoping to be debt free for life!

Me - I asked about 2 months ago for them to stop sending me books, but I still got a VIP slot. I didn't get one for the summer sale, but I did for the two sales prior to that.0

Next phoned me today aswell - early this afternoon, inviting me to book a slot but I told them I had already booked an online slot. So I think it was genuine.0 -
Thank you!!!! So I'm not going insane or being stalked by a really really weird person!0

Assuming everyone who has a 5pm slot has posted it on here!!??!! . . .. . . . which I very much doubt.
I think you'll need to add a few hundred to your 30..... at least!
not hiding behind your other mse name today then?Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0 -
I have had a Next account since around 1988!! And I shopped at their shops before that...Never had a VIP invite ...
I ve rang them and they said it was a totally random process...apart from only inviting people if they had ordered pink or white frilly knickers from them in the past 90 days!
Canna find any in the mens section only orange ones
Sheesh!!!

I think they phoned me today too, but I was out. The number was an 0844 number or something like that and I never get sales calls usually. I have an online slot for 5pm too...

Yes - I got a slot and asked them to stop sending the directories to me earlier on this year.0
