Well, I'm amazed and delighted to report that the split peas are sprouting! Give me a few days and I'll try to post a photo.0

Really enjoyed reading this thread - recently developed an interest in sprouting! So far we've just really done alfalfa, but I would love to sprout sunflower seeds successfully. I've tried before, and they developed a small sprout and were tasty, but that's as far as it got. I was kind of hoping to get them to grow a couple of leaves, but no such luck! Does anyone have any advice?0

Got mine growing at the moment and the mung beans seem to be really slow, not sure if its to cold for them but the alfafa and fenugreek are doing great0

What do fenugreek sprouts taste like? I have some seeds in the cupboard somewhere, but never thought to sprout them!0

I haven't tried them, but I bet they have a sort of sweet curry taste! Please let us know when you try them.31.5/1000 -

IIRC they are quite pungent, they usually do them in a mix of seeds so they aren't overpowering.
I've just started sprouting stuff again, I haven't done it for years, so makes me feel a bit like an old hippy
Also have a tray of dried peas on the go, but they are for the curly tops for salad, they weren't very nice when they were just 'sprouted'

Well everything says they have a mild curry taste but I couldnt taste it, sounds bad but the Alafafa and Fenugreek just taste like grass, mung beans arent doing much and neither is the broccoli, cabbage is coming along...am abit dissapointed and cant imagine eating much of them, not sure if I have done something wrong, possibly to much light or to little0

Oh no! I think you should keep trying
I have to admit, we haven't been sprouting for very long, and the first time we did I was really disappointed in the result. It was alfalfa seeds and I thought they tasted like grass a bit too! But I think if you try eating just them (a big pinch) by themselves, you can taste the nuttiness of them. Where did you get your seeds from? And where did you grow them?0
