oooooo you've just reminded me .. i have 2 passbooks upstairs .. one is for the Northern Rock and has maybe a couple of pound in it .. the other is one from the post office (is it national savings or something like that) .. that one has about £15 in it .. the post office one i sent off a couple of years ago for interest to be added, and know that on is still alive .. the NR one i dont know about tho .. wonder if it will be worthwhile closing them and adding them to this one xx

if its money in your name then grabbit, it all adds up. iv got @ 8 different accounts scattered all over the place, only my 2 current accounts have overdraft facilities though (so count on my credit score as credit available to me) the other accounts are all sort of dormant with just a few pence in them. as my finances begin to improve i will start to use them for seperating my savings up eg two for virtual sealed pots with purpose ie xmas '09, and then one for ebay, one for quidco, one for car tax saving etc. i need to write a thorough financial plan of what goes out and what comes in, real income will be paying living expenses and then money from 'upping my income' i need to SAVE IT. im just happy at the mo with saving for next xmas, its going to be so much nicer having money to lean on instead of trying to materialise it out of thin air like i do every bloomin december!!:rotfl:

its not sad hun;) i can only afford a few pence at a time. have you looked over on the 'up your income' thread, its pretty good. i love going to car boots, buying stuff for pennies then flogging it on ebay, it really does bring in extra cash.xx

edit can you apply for internet banking on your northern rock acc., then you could just transfer the cash over?
