I am a bit confused .Is this a weekly or daily challenge ? or is it when you can afford to put some away?
I dont think I could afford to do it daily. what are others doing?
As others have said everyone is doing this differently but at least we're all saving money we would probably not account for.
I'm transferring the "odds" above the nearest £10 every Sunday. I don't have an actual target but if it averages £5 I should have £260 which will cover all my Christmas present shopping :j.

because my memory is so bad and my income is so low, I log into my bank every morning - just to make sure there is enough in and that no payments have come out that I have forgotten about (or to make sure that certain payments have indeed gone!)
If there are spare pennies in then I will send them to my savers account.
I get money paid into my bank every Thursday and Monday (well its due Monday but always goes in on Sat) so chances are they are the 2 days that pennies will actually be transferred.
The only other times will be if quidco pays out.
oh ..and I just got a letter from the family allowance people saying that its going up to £20 a week from £18.80so when that goes in every 4 weeks I will put the difference in because I wont miss it if I've not had it will I.
oh eck . .am rambling again lol xxx
edit: transferred an amazing £1.74p tonight lol0 -

oooooo you've just reminded me .. i have 2 passbooks upstairs .. one is for the Northern Rock and has maybe a couple of pound in it .. the other is one from the post office (is it national savings or something like that) .. that one has about £15 in it .. the post office one i sent off a couple of years ago for interest to be added, and know that on is still alive .. the NR one i dont know about tho .. wonder if it will be worthwhile closing them and adding them to this one xx0 -
