here we go again indeed. This thread is to point out that there is a sale, not for sympathy for the employees who will unfortunately lose their jobs.

....whether people "get a bargain" or not.

    Anyway, back on topic!

there are like Argos......way, way overpriced at normal selling price, so that when there is a sale they can claim 50% etc off.

truly a business model from the ark....

And what about the poor employees that are going to lose their jobs just before Christmas ?? Getting a bargain isn't everything !

what do you want us to do about them exactly?

im sick of talk of sales turning into 'oh you should be sorry for the staff and not even talking of the sale' - of course we are sorry for them, we are sorry for the whole situation the country is in, some of us need sales because we too have been hit by all of this.

At least this thread is a bit nicer than the other woolies one where I commented on the poor staff ! Wouldn't like to be in the staffs' position just before Christmas, let alone any time.

Well said, i am one of those people i'm afraid, and if i can save any money anywhere then i'm sorry but i'll go for it! Isn't that the whole point of this website anyway? ;)

I am very sorry for the staff in woolies, but at the end of the day it is out of our hands.

Good luck to those who tackle the sale! I went in last week when they did the 50% off thing and i didn't buy anything, it was rubbish, and the queues were to the back of the store, it just wasn't worth it!

I may try again if they have a big sale cos i still have so many pressies to buy and not enough cash so bargains would be fab!
:starmod: May all your wishes come true! :starmod:
