  • There was a rumour they were giving out vouchers on returns.

I returned a game yesterday and they took it back fine, they just put the cash back onto my card.
    OnePoll - £12.40, Yougov - £1.00, VO - £24.25, youdoo miles - 24292, MHF - £0.00
Not much, but its a start :rotfl:

What, so you can use them in the New Year? :)
Remember - the company is not legally bound to accept returns at all (unless they are faulty) and given they have announced that from tomorrow this is a closing down clearance sale I would expect them to not give refunds at all, unless they had to by law.

The signs currently say ""upto"" 50% off! Which doesn't mean everything, wtp is on a wind up.

It'll still be the same tomorrow, maybe there will be a few xtra % off some old rubbish, but nothing great

Yeah I got the wind up and commented on before you posted this -:p I was also refering to someone who said on this thread that signs went up tonight saying ''50% off all stock''.
I already know what the current one says, I was there nice and early last week queuing for hours :D . And i'm sure I will be doing the same tomorrow, just in case!!

    I work for Woollies
I have been told we are opening slightly later, usually 8.30 as we are having a staff meeting about our redundancy payments. Can't speak for other stores.
By the way anything really worth having has already been bought by the staff e.g sat navs 30 quid.

:D Well done, £30 sat nav, I want, I want. Any light as to what else is really cheap. :D

And what about the poor employees that are going to lose their jobs just before Christmas ?? Getting a bargain isn't everything !

But what about other people that have just been made redundant who are trying to gets christmas presents for their kids so they have some sort of christmas.

Sadly it does work both ways as today is my partners last day at work too.
  • Best of luck to woolies staff finding new jobs, if it does come to that. And also best of luck to anyone else who finds themselves in the terrible position of being made redundant. I don't buy into "this time of year", it's a horrible thing to happen at anytime of the year.

Unfortunately woolies business model just didn't move with the times and was only a matter of time before they weren't considered a viable business anymore.

I'll go down to our local to take a look, but I do feel sorry for the staff and the towns which will be left bereft without them.
