15 out of 15 and four minutes left on the clock! Clearly haven't lost my mojo. 8-)

I looked at it, got the first 1 then clicked out of it. Its too hard! I was really brainy at school and now im as thick as mince! No wonder there are no grammer schools in Scotland! lol
Had another go and got 12 out of 15!

Must admit a few were guesses! xx 0/2013

I got 11 out of 15, got all the word ones right but got a bit stumped on the maths - yet I was better at maths than English at school!
Current pass mark is 236 out of 282. They also add a mark and a half on for each month after Sept your birthday is.
My DD took the 11 plus 3 years ago. She got 277 out of 282. (She's an October birthday too). She had no tuiton though. Some of the kids at grammar school cannot speak correct English, and have no grasp of spelling or punctuation. They've just been tutored as their parents are rich. The system is a joke. Grammar school is often a status symbol; doesn't matter if their kids end up being pushed beyond their capabilities. But that said it is the fault of the system. It should go on the child's ability in school and if an entrance exam is required it should consist of Maths English and Science not VR!I can be brown I can be blue I can be violet and sky. I can be hurtful I can be purple I can be anything you like..Gotta be green gotta be mean gotta be everything more...0 -

Look at every 2 numbers.
16, 17, 18, 18, 20, 19, ____
16, ___, 18, ___, 20, ___, then the next becomes 22.
13/15 but then I got a different way of working out that one (and another of the number ones.
16, 17, 18, 18, 20, 19
sequence one goes 1, 1, 0, 2, -1
sequence two goes 0 -1 +2 -3
So I went for sequence of digits rising by 1 each time alternating sign! - therfore next number is 23 (+4) :rotfl:DEBT: £500 credit card £800 Bank overdraft

I got 12 out of 15. Seemed a bit harder than I thought/remember. (not that I remember back to '91/'92 ha ha) .0

Well managed to pass this time round!!! Couldn't manage it at 11 though. Wonder how my life would have turned out if I had all those years ago. Mind you I'm quite satisfied with my lot. Hubby went to a grammar school and hated it, had to learn Latin, he would much rather have done woodwork!0

Wooo, I got 12/15.
I could have spent the last minute on 7 and 8 (the codebreakers) and also on 11 (missing number) but I was worried of running out of time, so took a random, but almost educated guess and got them wrong :P! LOL
I wish Mum would have let me take the 11+. I believe our parents were asked, as my brother took it. Although we had moved by then and perhaps they do it differently here? *shrug*
If the entire test was like that mini-one (although harder obviously) Id have thoroughly enjoyed it!
hardpressed - I am rather jealous of your hubby. I would have *loved* to learn Latin *sigh*0 -
Amazingly I passed - 15/15 but not much time left on the clock :rotfl:
I went to grammar school many moons ago (King Edward VI Grammar School for Girls, Handworth - Rose Hill). In Birmingham us girlies felt somewhat superior to the boys as there were 4 grammars for them & only 2 for us! Don't know if that is still the case as haven't been back for many years.
I don't remember any coaching by my junior school apart from doing 2 past papers the week before the exam. My parents didn't do any extra work with me either (thankfully). Now I have 1 in year 4 & 1 in year 2, both of whom get lots of homework. I can remember being shocked when I got to Rose Hill & was given homework for the first time...
Happy Days & as for some happy ending I'd rather stay single & thin
