Aj, it's opposite the closed Ilva store on Great Ancoats Street.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Debtwire has nothing since 1st of the month on DSG. Cpy + paste is disabled from Debtwire, but the source of this piece is the Ratings Agency press release, so public information. Could see nothing Curry's specific.
  • Its not surprising if this is true that currys will go under. They have been struggling for years to make a decent profit. I can't remember the last time i shopped at currys, and if i was to buy any product it would be something small.

Anything else i would shop online, because its mainly cheaper. All the companies are in the same boat, and unfortunately the banks won't help them out in these difficult times. If the banks don't help big businesses, what chance have small ones got?

Mandy's got the 'lavender list' of companies that can't be allowed to fail.

Not sure if DSG's HQ is in a Labour constituency though - the only criteria for not being allowed to fail.

I have a feeling that these big retail parks that contain the likes of Comet, PC World, Halfords, B&Q etc etc are going to be a thing of the past! The business model these retailers relied on is now a thing of the past i.e. cheap and easy credit.
  • They're on my list of "most likely" so I'd not be surprised at all.

Just out of interest PasturesNew who else is on your "most likely" list so i know not to buy anything from them!

Why shouldnt you buy from them ?

Just make sure you pay by credit card if its over £100

  • Companies like Currys and PC world SHOULD go under. They provide rubbish service (only hiring the dumbest, most unhelpful 16 yr olds around) and massively overpriced (even compared to small independant shops, not just the e-tailers).
Let them go under, and open the doors to the competition to take their place and create jobs. Todays economy doesnt need stores like these anymore, and I will be outraged if the government steps in to save them.
