IIRC their sale starts on Christmas Eve so you can probably bag a bargain in good time.

You're 12000 miles away. How come you're in touch with when the PCW sale starts?

Anyways, what are you going to do with your $1000 hand-out?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Do you get Xmas 12 hours earlier than here? Or 12 hours later?

I used to work next door to Curry's and the sale always started on Christmas Eve IIRC.

Now that is an incredibly good point you raise for several reasons.

Firstly, if you qualify, it's $1k per child so that's two grand for the pair of Generalissimos.
Secondly, we weren't in Aus on the 14th(?) October so we don't qualify
Thirdly, Centrelink just put $4,000 in our bank account for no obvious reason. Perhaps I misunderstood point 2. Perhaps they did.

If the Aussie Government is going to pay the family Generali $2,000/week for sitting on bottoms/swimming in the ocean/drinking low quality beer then this was a better move than I thought at first!

We are 11 hours earlier in terms of when things hit. Midday Xmas day in the UK is 11pm in Sydney, 9pm in Perth.

It's something to bear in mind when you're trying to wire me money in respect of my excellent (yet modest) posts.

NYE is going to be spent on a 30ft yacht in the harbour. I'm really looking forward to that.
