  • MSE update! Just read the news about Egg's fine by the FSA for miss-selling PPI and now have my hopes up over the claim that I have with them over the same thing!
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!
  • I've just lost my job. I've been reading through this site to try and up my income. I've joined Topcashback and Cashback Kings. I'm terrified of joining a Bingo site - it's a fear of the unknown, but know that every penny counts

I've read about the 'daily clicks', but the search hasn't found me an explanation about what that is - or I've missed it completely :o . Can someone please explain or point me in the right direction on this site. I've been searching this site for two hours so my brains a bit addled.

Just had a call offering me cleaning work on six hours work on Sunday morning from 6am - 4 miles away and I've no transport, but I've said yes... beggars can't choose! I'll have to get up at sparrows fart

Good luck to everyone on their DFW days - I'll be following this thread and picking up all your advice and hints.

I has paid off a debt!! Well, kinda :p My super generous and beautiful girlfriend has let me off with the last £22 from the £125 I owed her, as she said she really didn't need it.

I know she was just being nice, but I've only borrowed money once from her in two years and it was for household goods that she wanted a heck of a lot more than me, so I will let it slide.

To show my appreciation, I will let her have half of the crate of wine I just ordered from my Virgin wine club - £140 of badly behaved wine fun :D I only paid £80 of that (vouchers) and I will be cancelling the £20/mth charge in the new year to focus on busting my debts.

So - a debt cleared, loads of wine and £20/mth better off in the new year. Things are looking up.

Thanks Fedup for the good wishes. No time for self-pity - I need an income!

I'm looking for idiot guide information for daily clicks.

Just been reading about scratchcards on a MSE diary and about bingo. I just don't know where to start... I'm a bit overwhelmed. I'm sure it'll come good.

Thanks again for thinking of me, it means a lot - I'm feeling quite lonely with all this, but I'll keep smiling :D

    Hi HipHouse,

It's great that you've found this site - you'll find lots of advice!

Here's a link to Eagerlearners' guide and linked thread about clicks. If the link doesn't work search for Eagerlearner in the Search box. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=609037&highlight=eagerlearner

Good luck. We;ll be here to help as you need it.

    HURRAH :D

Thank you so much, this looks exactly what I need to read. Pity that my head is mush right now! I need to sleep. Up early tomorrow.

I've registered online with all the local agencies, applied for six jobs - only one fits my skills profile and pays OK (£11ph) the others are all minimum wage, but hey I'll be cleaning at 6am on Sunday morning for £5.52ph so I have an income - being proud won't feed me. I'll be on the phone tomorrow to arrange appointments to visit offices to sign-up with ID etc.

I've got a travel card valid until 9th December, so at least I won't have to pay bus fares for a couple of weeks. I'm trying to keep positive :o

Thanks again for help and support urg - very, very much appreciated... I feel like you've just lifted an anxiety from my shoulders - priceless :D

I must admit - I did get Eagerlearner's guide and decided I currently don't have the time and motivation to do it.

Good luck with the agencies - I really do hope something comes up for you.

Keep posting - you'll find that these strangers slowly become your friends and will do what they can to support and help you.
