  • awwww webitha - that sounds horrible...! good for you for standing your ground... You're a stronger woman than me if you manage to stand your ground.... you should ensure that you get some Christmas food/drink/good times to yourself though, and make sure they see you having it too...!

    Well done honey! slippery out?

Nearly broke my neck...:rotfl: Went down some rural roads which of course haven't been gritted and going down a steep hill was rather trecherous! Considering most of it was up hill and the down hill bits I was virtually walking im pleased with my time

You rock Webitha, the only time my kids have EVER taken me seriously is when I have got a black bin bag stuffed all their stuff in it and thrown the stuff out!

DD1 taught me a valuable lesson once. when i asked her why she never took no for an answer and just went on and on she said 'because i know you will give in in the end'. She was about 9 at the time!!! I soon wised up.

Keep it up and you know where to come for support!

Good for you for standing your ground Webitha. It's the only way they learn. My brother got nothing for Christmas one year and was sent to his empty (apart from his bed) room for the day.

I'm so tired today, bloody neighbours stupid car/truck thing woke me up at 6am

  • Oh my god webitha, good for you!!! please come and post if you feel like you are losing your nerve, we will give you a boost of determination!

Polishing my halo I have to say I was a good kid, except once I complained of being tired after school and my mum said she was too - I asked her why, she had just been at home all day doing nothing  she didn't even have to say anything, the look I got was enough!! Never dared say anything like that again :o

actually DD1 had a good idea yesterday. She decided to sell her story to a trashy magazine for money! but she hasn't got a story - so we embellished a little.

Basically she is going to tell the story of her bad mother who is always stressed and drunk and fobs the little baby onto her so she can surf the net talking to strangers all night...she has a father she never sees.....her brother is a druggie....her sister an alcoholic......and yet she fought against type and despite the odds become a hairdresser!

There was more to it than that, but there is a little bit of truth in each one of those little bits.....:rotfl: she had me in stitches!!

  • Brilliant Sammy, I bet Chat or That's Life would pay £250 for that!

Er, not that I read trashy magazines or anything :o

Like I have the time

I knew someone who was in once of those magazines once, well actually she was in three. So much for original stories

is it lunchtime yet??? - just looking for an excuse to come on here really.....

I had some muesli about 1030 so am not actually hungry yet, and have running club tonight at 630 so makes sense to have a late lunch so i'm not starving at tea time....

Really wanted to get my hair cut this week but have limited funds and am sure i can't afford it... so will have to glory on as it is.... the front looks fine but i know the back which is meant to be bobbed is getting all outta shape. mind you i can't see it, so who cares!? if i persevered i could probably grow it a bit, but it's at the in between stage just now, neither bobbed nor shoulder length, just sticking out about my neck length.......
