Thank you to all for the support, means the world xx

:j:j Really happy for you M21 :j:j
All those annoyingly high APR store cards gone :T
The way you have been overpaying the last few months that 2015 doesnt stand a chance !:j0 -
It sounds daft, but feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders, from July going to do a new money layout and go from there.
I've overpaid Vanquis by about £45, so rather than keep the car to spend on, thinking got a balance, so been organised and did a halfcost order, very mse thou, free p+p as they had special offer £25 threshold rather than £50, and used my FF15 code, an extra 10% discount.
My bank account slowly dribbling back to normal, reckon by Thurs the 10k all be cashed in.
Managed to get a wack of Open Uni done this week, got 2 weeks done, went to the tutorial this morning, next week got TMA to write and do 1 weeks work, still be 1 week behind, but fingers crossed catch up over next couple weeks, set myself a target of being 3 weeks ahead by 18th July, (school breaks up), makes it a bit less pressure over school hols.
Very MSE yesterday, spent 3 hrs going through wack of car insurance sites for dad, for the last few yrs always rang round then he sticks with his original quote, (typical man!!), but this yr, his renewal quote with company hes with wanted £250, then they offered an alternative at £212, but the excess was £500 :eek:
So Quidco here I came, weird thing, got quote from same company who was his insurers "cheaper quote", and based on like for like what he has already got the best quote was from the "alternative insurer", and we got it for £170.00, with £75 cash back. :money::T. I always treat cashback as a bonus, so even if they dont pay for x,y,z,reason, hes still saved. Up to xmas this was the man who was stuck with loyalty to company, I know its his generation, and to an extent mine, but hes learning now.
Car boot a nice 6.30am start, at least its forecast dry and hopefully make a few quid.
xx

Had to laugh at her tonight, tucking her in bed, get the questions,
"mum are you married" - no
"mum have you a boyfriend" - no
"while what about that entry on ur fone" - what entry
"John" - yes thats mummys friend, he lives near Kent
"mummy - why dont you try Match.com, if you dont find love with in the first 6 months they give you 6 months free"
-Thank you darling, but I've got you, thats all that matters
-"while in ur case ur lucky they do the free 6 months, doubt anyone would want you"
Thought it was just christmas adverts kids take notice of, (shes 6 going on 18) xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
LOL your daughter is such a character. Good luck with the car boot. Its good to hear you feeling so positive.:j0

Good news I survived the car boot sale, dispite the 630am start, there was someone there at 5.30am. some people must be mad.
We didnt do to bad, after paying £5 for the table, we made nearly £40, thou £16 of that was dds - so put it up for her, my £24, I've decided to start my Grand Canyon flight - when I eventually get to Las Vegas - the grand plan of action.
Paid off / in bank the remainder of the money, so will know at the end of the month what I owe on overdraft.
Had a small spend yesterday, my suitcase got broke when coming back from Tunisia, hence Argos sale leaflet, got a descent set of 2 cases, 2 flight bags for £53, instead of £75 and they have a 5 yr guarentee.
Had a gd deal in Evans, brought 2 tshirts from Devon, never tried them on, they were £12 each or 2 for £15, didnt like them, took them back and they came through the till at £24.. so got 4 new tops + purse for dd, just cost me £1.00 extra
Printer nearly got thrown out of window took 3 hrs to print a 14 page PDF document, only one that I needed to study with:mad::mad::mad:, so lost patience with studying, so no life for me this week!!
Guess a bit of good news, got my blood test monitor from gp, to keep an eye on blood sugar, when the nurse tested the meter, my blood was 5.9, she was really happy with the result, so finger crossed the tablets are working, I'm sure I ratte the amount of tabs I take.
DD very happy dad and her friends dad put her trampoline up 2ngt, she was so hyper, it was brilliant to see.
Paid another £30 of debts, every extra £1 helps.
Off for a quick peep at thread then off to bed.
xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
You sound really positive after getting your loan. All those high interest cards gone.Don't worry about the debt looking higher as you'll be able to pay it quicker as the interest rates are lower.Love your daughters line of thought...bless her.0

Sounds really productive day or so. Bet DD is still loving the trampoline.:j0
-
DD is hyper over her trampoline, even in the rain she sneaked outside to go on it.
It sounds daft but everything feels as though its falling into place and starting to look up.
Positives-
Loan - All credit cards + store card gone
Pd dad 2k owe him
The accident I had last yr slipped in supermarket they have admitted liability, so fingers crossed they should be sorted soon.
Becoz my diabetics my sugar was bit high last blood fasting, (only 8.5), I was told I needed to test blood 3 times aweek, the gp supplied the machine and all the extras, my 1st blood reading came in at 5.9.
Getting sorted, finally got the car unpacked and few more xmas prezzies sorted.
Car boot went ok, after £5 for the table, made £40, but £16 off that was dds, (goes up for if she wants something bigger),
I've decided I will get to Vegas, when not sure, so my £24 started my fund, for trip to Grand Canyon.
Got an assisgment to be done by Saturday and I'm not stressing, not wrote a word yet, so unlike me, normally like a headless chick.
Spent the day doing OU work and got the equivalent of 1 weeks work done today.
My next assisgnment due 4th July, and I'm actually looking forward to doing it...... very worrying...... and dont plan to ask for an extension.
Look at finances end of month, brought set of luggage Argos sale, £53 instead of £75, 2 suitcases, roller bag + carry bag, the cases have 5yr guarentee, pay for themselves, but I have started a few reviews aim to get £20 in reviews off them.
Should have my overdraft cleared in July, that be brilliant.
Had sky+HD sorted, the difference is really noticeable, we dont out unless its holidays, I worked out last yr, gone out 8times in yr......
Very MSE invested in a slow cooker, £10 instead of £20 from Argos, when I'll use it not sure, get there eventually.
Had brilliant deal in Evans, brought 2 tshirts whilst in Devon £12 each or 2 for £15, didnt try them on there, got home they look awful, took them back they both came up at £12 each, so had £24 to spend in store,( no receipt), got 4 tshirts + purse for dd.
Paid DDs ballet lessons for Sept to Dec (£66), came from surveys etc, so not cost a penny
Sorted out dads car ins, at last he has finally realised staying loyal to a firm doesnt get him anywhere, his cheapest renewal quote £197, excess of £370, his current excess £250.
Got him a quote from same company who were offering the cheaper policy, got him like for like on the basis of his existing policy, got it for £170.00, and we have £75 cashback, I treat cashback as a bonus.
Mums giving me £20 towards the xmas prezzies I've brought,
Only negative -
spent £50 on xmas presents.
spent £20 odds + sods
spent £30 stuff for dds bday party (not till Sept, but getting items when cheap)
Having a nightmare with Mutual Points, they dont credit the account, had to chase a chq, which took 3 mths to arrive
Taking it a day at a time, but trying to stay positive, touch wood, bar her usual aches, pains and usual aliments mums got 90% back, shes lost some confidence and hasnt got her level of mobility back, we manage between us. The CT scan came back clear, so someone looking after us.
Off to bed........... work my rear off with assisgnment 2mor onwards.
Thank you all again for the support, help, advice and being yourselves, as I couldnt of got through all this without you.xx
