Had a small spend today, hot the sale (again) at Superdrug, but got a lot of items, didnt spend over 99p an item, got sellotape, 2 rolls for 10p, disney proncess stickers and book set 10p (£2.99 price tag), and a really solid paddling pool for dd, - hope we get the sun, the paddling pool was 99p, one of the ladies said they were £20 in the summer. Total spend of £8.00 and 3 carrier bags full. Have got to get organised and work out what presents I have got and who for.

My pot of money was £40, then £29.00 now £21.00, but this may sound daft, I feel a lot better for it, as if I want to buy something I have to really think do I need it, or is it an I want!

I give up, this is a day of days, what can go wrong does go wrong, for some reason my bank account has gone to pot, I've just incurred £35.00 charge, then another £28.00 for going over my overdraft, then just checked my bank account and I am still £65.00 over my overdraft, by looking atthe online statement i'm in line for at least another 7x £35.00 charges, so now have got to find another £373.00 out of mid air............. I give up.

    Im on NSD no 3..........

As the saying goes, it doesnt rain, but it poors!! x

Those charges make things so much worse. Try ringing the bank and being nice and if that fails stick in a claim as its working its way through the system so eventually youll get it back. Also you may qualify for a hard up case due to the benefits.

I spoke to the bank this morning, apparently it is now 9 charges all @ £35.00 each coming out bewtween 24th + 26th Jan, (so far have only had letters relating to 9, thats £315.00 then next month its a charge of £28.00 for unortherised overdraft, once I mentioned hardship case and that I have already got a claim, the person said your not the first and I doubt you will the last, so threw in " I'm a single mum, whos disabled and yes the charges have been occured, but your not helping, I'll have to contact the financial obsbumen and put in a claim under financial hardship, (dont really want to go down this road, as I have an OD, which is being pd back slowly, but dont want them to pull the rug from under me), after that she asked how many bank charges could I cover, I said 3 at most, hopeing she would cancel them, but she came back with they would extend my OD by £250, then at least that way I wont be haveing extra £35.00 charges on top of these charges, not quite the outcome I wanted, but better than nothing.
I've had a claim in with the bank, but thats on hold due to the legal wrangling, so will just add these charges to the list.

Another mountain crossed, but at least I feel a lot more positive.

Had a gd day yesterday hit the Boots sale, spent £56.00, but £50.00 was covered by vouchers, so only really spent £6.00, and I saved £170.00, so that should be a wack of presents done. All the men are having Simpsons toilettry set and A Homer Soap in the rope, that was the only range left!!

Had £21.00 left in my pot of money, spent £6.00 got £15.00 left, no spend weekend, as weather predicted to be rain, so dd and I are going to do some cooking, cheery scones, fruit scones, and use her cup cake maker she had at xmas. xx

Had some more good news 2ngt, I got conformation by email from Open Uni, got official start date for my next course, 9th Feb, but am trying to get started at least a week early to give me a bit of leaway. The other bit Im plzed about is its a tutor who taught a previous course I did, although never went to tutorials, wasnt travelling to Birmingham for 2hrs!! but even if you sent an email query he got back to you quickly, so have faith. Bit nervous, sounds daft but as last years courses went tits up, (due to the neighbours), I had to chuck them all in, but this time I'm going to give it my all. Def, very MSE, as I had a full grant to cover the course, got something to be positive about.

Shouldnt laugh, but my last OU course that I completed was "U and Ur Money"....

Thank you all for your support, I couldnt of done this without you, as I most proberly would of chucked the towel in after the bank charges,,, but theres no way the banks and my debts are going to win, I am stronger than them, x
