It is just possible that in this current climate you may be being ambitious, that's all. Check it out thoroughly before moving. DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Have a look at Southeast London. I live in brockley and not only are htere pleny of students here (goldsmiths around the corner) meanign interesting and quirky stuff, it's cheap as chips and only 9 minutes to London bridge. Forget about living in Zone one, no one needs to do that and it's stupid money. I live in a three bedroom house with a garden and several nice parks within easy walking distance. And I don't earn 40k.0

I agree with Phil.
If all else fails be a tube driver for over 30K per year.Still tiny wages for London, but, there you go.
To be honest, both skills you both have are pretty much worthless unless you know someone who can get you a job.
Sorry, just being realistic.
As I said, if you wanna come to London get a licence to drive a large vehicle, or do The Knowledge?0 -
>so i kinda know what to expect<
Don't make eye contact or speak to anyone on the Tube. Ever. That's the way we like it.

Moving over here then looking for work whilst thousands are losing their jobs is a big no-no. Sort out some work first
Can you be a bit more specific about your web development experience and skills? I'm in a related field and can give you an idea of what the market is like in the south east.0 -
Thanks, yeah my experience will be 2 years working mainly as a web content manager for up to 15 e-commerce sites using ticketswitch cms, creating html emails, monitoring site traffic in google analytics, designing promotional banners, image manipulation etc so the skills required for this part of my job are css, xhtml, flash, photoshop etc
I also create sites for clients using reddot content management as well as loading and managing the necessary content.
I create and style various email forms for required sites in asp, css, html also currently learning asp.net & vb.net and have knowledge of javascript.
My main interests lay in web content management as I spend a lot of my working day setting up loads of ticketing products, editing imagery, content editing etc.#21 Debt Free in 2009 - Mission Complete

So, basically, you have typing skills.
Most firms are now struggling and any person working in IT can do this (and most who aren't in IT). Firms will employ their own typers to do this for them
Again, just being realistic.0
