I've made myself a list of jobs to do today, and whilst I thought it would be 5/7 things to do, it has ended up being a list with 17 items on it and I am determined to get through the lot today and not let them drag into next week (some are minor things).

Managed 14 items off the list.
Just doing the remaining 3 today.

I tried to open a Santander ISA online nearly 2.5 weeks ago and I am still awaiting an account number.
Since it accepts transfers in and pay 3.3% for a year, it can't be sniffed at, but I can see why the general consensus is that day to day dealings with Santander can be annoying.

I'm waiting for them to call me back today.

My colleague at work has asked me to cover an overtime shift for her in 2 weeks time, so that will be added to next months overpayments.

After phoning up last week, I was asked to take my ID into a branch again.
Phoned up this morning and they want me to contact the branch I took my ID into last week and possibly take my ID in again with me.
They will call me within the next 5 days for an update.

I've decided to go with Principality Building Society instead which took 5 minutes to open online and make an initial deposit. :)
The difference in interest between the 2 accounts is £17 (which I can live with).
At least I can start to transfer out my money that is sat in a couple of ISAs paying much less than 1%.

I've been offered a new job at work and I am seriously contemplating it.
My boss is impressed with the progress I have made in my current role and wants me to do the same elsewhre in the store.
Just doing some research before I make a decision.

I accepted the new job role last week and I am currently receiving training at another store.
Lots to learn, but the job is a lot more interesting.

Just got to make the OPs today then I'll do the May update.
We should be comfortably under £30K this month. :j

I did the Manchester 10K run last month and the Great Manchester Cycle on Monday and they were both a lot of fun.
    I'm doing another 10K in a fortnight.

After getting home from the Cycle ride, I immediately put the bike I rode on straight onto eBay and will be getting a road bike.

I have been riding to work 2/3 times a week to aid fitness for my half marathon (in September) and it does save on petrol (7.5 miles each way), for the last month and it has been really nice.
The current weather is awful, but that's British weather.

At least with a road bike, I should be able to get there a bit quicker, so I can leave home a little later or have a longer rest when I get to work.

In the last 6/9 months, I've allowed myself the indulgence of things like having 2 bikes (and making the time to enjoy them - even with a busy time at work), and a couple of 'Apple' products.

I've had bikes before but they just gathered dust in the garage, but since taking on the new job roles, the mortgage balance reducing I thought it better that I start doing a bit more stuff that just pleases me.

OH bought a bike because his new work location means £5 per day for parking, so a £300 bike (reduced from £700) was worth the investment.

After work some evenings, we'll just get on a train with our bikes and go off to some nice bike trails.
Nice and relaxing and pretty low cost form of evening entertainment.
