It has been a busy month, so I have been working flat out at my new job.
I also worked overtime over the Christmas period, so that should boost the overpayments in January.
Next month's payment should have us back under £40K again and we won't be going back up.
OH gets his bonus next month so there should be a little more for overpayments too.0 -

I secretly hope to have it paid off by July 2013 which will be the 7th anniversary of us taking out the mortgage.
We then plan to take a month off work in September and go a mega nice holiday. We have begun to draw up a short list.0 -
Well I won't tell anyone if you don't ;0 Cleared in 7 years will be great going, and will give you a lifetime ahead of freedom - A mega nice holiday could be on the cheap? I hear that the Manchester Ship Canals can be lovely at this time of year?Feb 2012 - onwards MF achieved

January's mortgage payment has been made.
Once the overpayments are added, the mortgage will fall below £40K and stay below. :j
I opened a Cheshire Building Society Regular Saver today (5%) and deposited £500.
My OH will be opening one too at the end of the week.
The HSBC Regular Saver matures at the end of this month, so we can divert funds to these accounts.
I've made a list of 10 things to list on eBay tonight, and I must get through it before I do anything else.
I'm on holiday for the week, so I am trying to get the house in order and get back on the MFW trail with a renewed vigour (Christmas is over now).
I wanted to go for a bike ride today, but the weather was so lousy, that I couldn't bring myself to go out in the wind and rain.0 -
