eBays sales have been very good so far this month.
Some of it due to stuff that was relisted at the end of last month.
Currently approximately £400 (after all fees), so that means my September Challenge has been achieved.
I might also put any further sales from this month into overpayments.
We were supposed to be going on holiday in a fortnight, but I have recently been offered a job at another store in a new department.
Some of the key training will be taking place in the weeks that I was due to take my holiday, so I have asked to have my holidays rescheduled so that I can attend the workshops.
I just have one more week in my old job and I am just tying up loose ends and getting things in the right place for my replacement.0 -
well done on the balance and also on the ebay sales!! what kinda things do you find sell? I think I have sold most cds, books, dvds (that we dont want to keep!) not sure what else I have that anone would want to buy! :rotfl:
good luck with new job!0 -
Clothes, handbags, trainers, shoes, an old ereader (that I bought in the US nearly 2 years ago and was going to chuck), rucksack, DAB radio, car mats, mobile phone accesories, board games, DVD Boxsets to name but a few things.
Clothing doesn't get you much money but the volume we've sold has generated over a £100, which would have just been chucked or used for rags.
Some stuff was due to go to the skip (after being sat in the garage or cupboards for ages) and I thought I'll do a search on eBay and see what came up.
After checking completed sales I managed to salvage nearly half the stuff that I was going throw.0 -

Since the last update, I've gone and purchased a new (pre-registered) car.
Got a good value for my traded-in car and the new car was discounted too.
The difference was funded from the mortgage overpayments savings (£7,500), so net mortgage balance goes up this month, but still on target to make MFiT-T2 target.

I finally managed to get insurance for my new car for £628 for the year (with Privilege).
I struggled to get online quotes because my car wasn't registered on many databases., so I had to make many tedious phone calls.
My renewal quote was for £1,582 and when I phoned them up they managed to lower it to £1,355.
My new job is currently taking up most of my time as I have a lot to learn and changes to make, but in the last 2 weeks I feel that I have started to make good progress.
I've swapped my HTC Wildfire S for an iPhone 4.
I used £110 of Clubcard vouchers that I exchanged for £220 and a £10 off Tesco Direct promo code.
After Staff Discount of 10% and £23 Quidco the 16Gb iPhone 4 PAYG cost £179.
I will eBay my HTC and I should get about £100, so to change phone it will have cost me £80.
The overtime I am due this month will more than cover the cost. :T
I'm already on a decent Tesco Mobile tariff (750 mins, 5000 texts and 1GB for £10 per month), so I just swapped the contract over to the new phone.
The HTC was bought in August with Clubcard vouchers that were also exchanged for double their value.0
