Reinstatement and allowed time to redeem before expiry.When I asked MBNA when the points were next going to expire they told me it would be every November and they would take a years points off then. So you need to make sure you spend them before that date because I don't think they will be willing to give them back again now everyone is aware of the three year rule.0

A statement of when and how many points are due to expire.I have had a letter from MBNA confirming the reinstatement of the points.
The letter I suspect was a standard letter that they have prepared to send to everyone, (who complains). I will say that I find the letter extremely impersonal and unfriendly.
Just remind me someone, are we keeping then in work are are they doing us a favour - because I find the attitude of MBNA toward its customers quite appalling.
I really think after all the pain and heart ache that SC and MBNA have caused between them it wouldn't have hurt them to try and patch up customer relations with a pleasant letter.0 -
A statement of when and how many points are due to expire.Having e-mailed to customerservices@sonycard I have had a response that they have re-instated my 60000 odd points. I will need to wait for the next statement to verify this.
Thanks to all of you who have supplied various contacts to write to.
I have asked them if they will let me return the undesired items I had to order- so as not to lose the balance of my points - in order to continue saving for the laptop. I'll post their response here when I receive it. I0 -
Reinstatement and allowed time to redeem before expiry.Hi just to add to the long list of dissatisfied customers I too had Pulsebeats removed from my Sony Card.
I wrote a complaint to MBNA but received a letter stating that they would not re-instate my points. After finding this Forum and discovering that others have since had their points re-instated I'm even more dissatisfied with Sony Card and MBNA and have emailed Sony card using the email address in post 40.
I will let you know of the response back and would also like to thank the people who have provided information and help on this post.

It may well have been removed as you say - in fact highly likely! What is the matter with these people?
If you support Manchester United it would appear that you are OK!
It doe intimate though that MBNA are not responsible for the reward points, they only do the admin. Sony are the ones who call the shots and unless you tell them to tell MBNA, I don't think MBNA will act.

My 22,000 points have been reimbursed today and I will spend them in the coming days. In future I will go for rewards requiring a smaller number of Pulsebeats, i.e. "spend" them more frequently. Saving over a period for major purchases is no longer really practical, it seems, unless the accounting software used by MBNA is amended to show us when the points will be removed in advance.
It goes to show that the "power of the people" can work when it comes to dealing with global brands.0
