It is soooo tempting to pay everything onto one card, then the realisation hits that you need money for petrol and food etc. Actually our budget would be great if we didn't have to eat!

Ah yes, I had the month when I was over enthusiastic with making extra payments and had almost no money for food. Now I prefer to pay the extra at the end of the month!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Right! I'm back, been missing in action a few days. Things have got on top of me a bit and I've let it all drag me down, couldn't even come on here, just too despondent.
I hate my job, not the job itself, the back-stabbing political atmosphere, the tangible fear as people wait to hear if they've still got a job. As I walked towards work, the last few mornings, I've felt a headache building and waves of tiredness sweep over me. The boss is a self admiring idiot who can't even open his own email without a drama...I've let it get under my skin and can't let it stay there. The job, for as long as it lasts, pays the mortgage, helps pay the debts and most importantly, keeps the Captain. I will remember this every morning and just do what has to be done. Don't let me disappear again please!
I've also had to tell the man I thought I would love forever, that it isn't going to work for us. There have been tears, tantrums and empty promises. But in short, I haven't heard a word from him for nearly three weeks, not even a text. He says he's been busy, surely, no-one is that busy? It also turns out he's still living in the same house as his ex-wife, not the same bedroom, naturally  Yeah, right. He's lying. I can't do this anymore. I love the man he should have been, not the man he is. He says he loves me and wants to marry me! As far as I'm concerned, this beggers belief. So it's over for good. Pure and simple.
Horridness over, thank you for reading, normal service will now resume.

Hi Piquant
I've not posted on your thread before but have lurked on it for a while. Just wanted to add my support to the stampede you already have. Sounds like you are having a tough time at the moment. It's never easy ending a relationship, even when you know in your head it is completely the right thing to do. Hope you feel better about things soon. And hope that hairy horse is behaving!0 -
