Hipiq, well done on all the money you got back from the gas and elec companies today, must be a nice feeling.
Fingers crossed for your date today, hope it all goes well and look forward to the next installment.
Yes the money back is great, including the BT one, just proves how much some companies overcharge you in the first place!

Hi Piq - just found your thread, have a wonderful time tonight.
Lol at the rescue stories - my mare is too much of a wimp to go near anything that looks vaguely scary - luckily!

Here come the scurrilous details of the date; not so much Eastenders as All Creatures Great and Small…
Bear with me while I set the scene. Thought I’d better make an effort, so put together fetching little outfit of black roll-neck, grey checked pencil skirt, black tights and killer black suede shoes. He turned up in a dark suit and white shirt.
Went to an Italian Pizzeria and got as far as a glass of wine and garlic bread when my phone rang. It was the yard “your horse is missing!! We think he’s still here because someone has been eating the breakfasts. Can you come down and help as you’re the only person he’ll come to on call”
Of course I was all of a fluster, exex said he’d drive me there straight away.
When we got there three people were looking for said horse with flashlights – no sign of him at all…I called Captain and heard a whinny from the muckheap!! All flashlights turned towards the heap and there he was, flat out having a snooze in the sh*t. He finally deigned to rise, walked over, shook himself, covering exex and me in rancid ammonia scented straw and sh*t.
Somewhat surprisingly the date ended with a very grumpy exex driving me home in his posh leather seated BMW, now fragrant with muckheap…
I’ve been down to clean the hairy b*rst**d, pooh dreadlocked mane and tail, and he had the nerve to demand breakfast. Of the exex, I’ve heard nothing! Have texted to say sorry, but that’s all I can do really. Animals are animals at the end of the day. I shall keep you posted...
More importantly, my suede shoes are ruined  and I can't have any new ones, ah well, such is the price of love...Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Ok, I'm alright now! I'm sorry, but you have to see the funny side!!
Do you think he'll call again?? (the ex that is, not the horse)

I'm not sure to tell the truth, but I'd rather it finished before he got the chance to break my heart again! Man not horse!
I know it's funny, with any luck I'll be able to dine out (free) on it for a while...
Must do my paperwork so I can do a proper diary entry. Think I might do them in a different colour, so I can easily check back on my progress!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
