I'm watching TV and seeing what's going on here, a little bored after being in all day, if the truth is known.

    Where are you hiding?

Hiya Buffy, please come back often, the more the merrier! We get a bit sidetracked from time to time, but everyone helps keep me focused on what I'm really here for...

Funnily enough I was ready your post on clearing your debt in 18 weeks, am sort of tempted to join in, but could only aim to clear the monsterous MBNA card. I've still got masses of other debts, but that's the one at 34% with the most unhelpful employees ever:mad:

  • Oh God 34% !! !!!!!!!s! MBNA can be very difficult apparently. No chance of a 0% deal or low life of balance?

I worked out my loan interest wrong and so won't be debt free by the end of this year like I wanted and have been really gutted but sitting around being a misery pants won't help so I figured yesterday I should start with mini goals.

feel free to pop in any time, and I shall do the same

It's almost criminal isn't it? I can't get and 0% deals, I've tried. That's why amongst the mayhem and silliness of this thread you will notice an undercurrent of steel. I will see the back of it this year and then I'll start sorting out the rest.

I try not to let it drag me down, I'm always afraid if I hit bottom I may not be able to bounce back.

I shall come and see you on your thread and give your challenge a go!

  • that card is criminal Piq

Am hiding in the other sitting room, infront of fire and lights off no one knows I am here he he he.

I tend not to come in here much because its usually infested with socks, children and noise.

Some insane person had the bright idea of putting a piano in here from the lodgers room - what was I thinking

You seem to be tackling the nasty card head on piq thats pretty good. I have one real nasty one which to be honest I havent checked for a while I jsut pay a wee bit off each month, I need to look at it head on though I guess, been in denial about it for a long time.

Glad horse got some warm grub - must be hard not to see him.

It's the only debt I'm concentrating on at the moment. All the others just have the minimum payment go out on direct debit. The loans will look after themselves for now. I'm throwing every penny at it.

I snowballed it and it's original final payment date was June 2018, this was on minimum payment only  I want to clear it this year, which saves me nine years of interest at 34%
