...and the eve of a new year, let's hope I keep this motivation going!
Finally done the paperwork and filing, all I need to do is get a new file for 2009 up and running.
I've checked the varying accounts and today I have paid off another 1452.92 off my debts, how very scary. Some of that figure is off the loans, which do not appear on my overall debt figure, but as you know I'm dealing with the credit card debts first, they are the ones with variable interest rates, they should be cleared in 2010, leaving me with much smaller loan figures to deal with and, of course, extra income to clear them quickly.
I transferred across 20.00 from one of the scratchcard accounts today, that's free money that will be chucked at the A&L card as soon as it arrives.
I've also had the building insurance renewal quote in today, so I shall start looking for a better deal on that next week, hopefully through Quidco.
January will be tight but not impossible, this is the first year I haven't lived off my credit card!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
Total debt today: £0 - debt and mortgage free 29th November 2013 :T

Hat's off to you, I can't imagine how you manage, yet you always give down to earth, gentle humoured advice to anyone who needs it. I am sure I wouldn't be quite so sweet tempered!
I am going to attempt to lose a few pounds (once I have used up the cream, cheese and other sundry high calorie bits and bobs in the fridge) if only so I don't have that red ribbed indent bit around where a lot of people have a waist...Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

The love life's not as simple as the debt, wish it was, could just make a plan and stick to it! Getting cold feet at the moment, maybe because I haven't seen him for a while. He's gone home, New Zealand, for the break and it leaves me wondering if I need him....He'll be back next week, so I'll see how I feel then. This is one of the drawbacks of having been on my own for a long time, I know I can get by...
Still, onwards, very importantly, now, I have to decide what to cook from the storecupboard remainders. I picked up a nice recipe from the OS board for something called sweetcorn pudding, this would use up the rest of the cream, so it looks like a goer....Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

*snerk* - you haven't heard me when the pain is really bad! I worked for the MOD at one point and trust me I learnt to swear from squaddies, it makes the air blue!
