Hi Piq, hope you are feeling brighter. Been to see my boys, however wussed out of riding as it was raining. 'Nice' to go and muck out and fill straw bags and come home smelling all horsey!

Thanks lucielle, I am feeling better, but's it's taking it's time to clear up. Hopefully, today is the last day I am stuck inside. Thinking about sneaking off just to have a cuddle with the old boy. I love that horsey smell too, so sweet. Not so great in the car though, really ought to clean it out.....

  • Hi Piq

Hope you are feeling tons better now and that you've been for a cuddle with Captain.

Good news that while you have been home you've had some NSD's. Wish I could have some :o

Thank you for those kind thoughts, I am finally feeling better, certainly was knocked for six there....

It had a benefit in that I didn't spend any money, but I had nothing to write about either, so rather than bore you with my endless lurgy symptoms, I didn't write in my diary!

Didn't get a cuddle from the horse, he just turned his back on me! He took an apple off me and turned his back to me to eat it! When I walked off, he kicked the stable door until I returned and then promptly turned his back on me! Necessary to to let me know I'm being ignored. Obviously, deeply offended at being left with babysitters :rotfl::rotfl:I am now forgiven and yesterday we went on a training audition for the Grand National, well that's what the captain thought we were doing, I thought we were going on a quiet hack...He raced everywhere, jumping puddles as if they were 6 foot tall  and generally being a young colt again - not bad for 24! If you see a piebald cob in the National next year, put a matched bet on him, it might be us! (I do hope not, I'd die of fright)

I'm as stiff as a board today thanks to him:rotfl:

I've been given £50 of Sainsburys vouchers, quite unexpectedly. If I do my weekly shopping there it will free up £50 to knock off the debt in January. That'll be an excellent start to the new year's strict debt busting start!

I'm very proud of the fact that I haven't touched December's pay, despite the fact it's been in my account since the 15th. Payday is 25th and I'm pretending it's not there. This is the first year I've done this. I'm hoping it means January won't be quite so tight for a change.

Thanks to all of you popping in, see you soon - Piq

    22 December

I've just finished updating my spreadsheet and have realised that I have done Christmas without putting anything on a credit card :jThis is a first ever!!

I've paid a little bit extra off the worst card as well, only about £25, but that's not bad for December. I have to be honest I am very proud of myself indeed!

As I've already said, I'll hit the debt hard in the new year...
