  • Ah BB, your poor Dad. Wishing him a speedy recovery and maybe now he will just retire.

It was dead slippery coming home-my car is all over the shop and I hate it!
Tbh, I am getting worse as I get older-I hate driving in the dark now (another reason I decided to give up doing Virgin-was embarassed to say as sound dead old! lol) and I am getting more timid as I get older as well! Considering I drove for 8 years in Canada before moving to England and drove in all sorts or sleet/snow/ice etc. Mind you, we also had snow tyres...

cheers. An awful time timing wise, but a rough year for my mum and dad. He lost his Mum in May, My grandad was very touch and go in the summer and then my Mum's aunt (my great aunt) died, then my sister had the awful experience of being sacked by the bank for theft and then re-instated on appeal (with much back tracking and 'we were wrong') and now this.

My mum is a bag of nerves at the best of times, this is probably not what she needs !

Lol! It needs to be dark to cover up the canary yellow...It will be ok Im sure.

I do this periodically! Last time I was really dark was when I had DS, looked a wee bit dramatic. I would actually love red hair but I just dont suit it-if you watch 'Mythbusters' that is how I would love my hair! Funky red! Maybe I will do that....scaaaaaaary!

I've had red hair, and loved it. The trouble is, it's really hard to maintain. I was advised to wash it in cool water, never hot (not good at this time of year) It fades really quickly so needs refreshing every 3 or 4 weeks

  • Yes, that's true Spud-It's because the molecules are large apparently (well, from what I remember from my hair colour training days all those years ago!) but red is so PRETTY! Maybe I will go buy those bright red colours after all tomorrow...

    Hi all
I haven't been on for a few days, how is everyone?
BB sorry to hear about your dad. I hope things go well.
Just 13 days till I pick up OH from Stanstead, unless the bloomin protesters gather again! I must admit if he had been arriving yesterday & his flight was cancelled, I would have throttled someone!
Had a car accident on Sunday evening cos' of the stupid ice. Everything aches down the right side. Car surprisingly ok. made by french peasants for french peasant driving. DS no2 was a bit shook up but had an adventure to share at school!

I LOVED it. I might get a new colour at weekend. I was purple for a while, and loved that too :D

well, apparently it is his very damaged knee. He last had it operated on when I was about 12 as they thought it was cartlidge but in the end it was arthritis. He broke it when he was 6 when he fell off his scooter  and it started to give him problems in his early 30s. He's now 61 and was really, really struggling the last 2 times they have visited.

Hopefully it can all be done keyhole, but I don't know the procedure.
