Oh Pam, how kind, thank you very much - have just had a look but they are considerably more than I was hoping to spend, as we have bought them individual presents already. Oh well, perhaps they will have to have a shiny silvery one instead. The one they are using at the moment is silver coloured, but I thought it would be nice to get them one that DSIL will find easier to see. Can't spend too much as we also have to buy new flooring for our bathroom and kitchen, been putting it off for ages but my DBro is visiting on 28th Dec with his new(ish) partner - she hasn't seen the house before and I am so ashamed of the manky carpet in the bathroom and elderly vinyl in the kitchen (it didn't help, that when it was new our cat decided she liked the smell of it, and she ate two of the corners:eek:
No accounting for cats, is there!) that I've managed to shame DH into doing something about it
Sybil, how horrible! I hope you will report him to the energy company! (((HUGS)))0 -

Meter reader came, and was a bit odd........
I hope you have reported him to the elec/gas company? They will know who has downloaded your meter details for reading from their systems, so will be able to trace him & take action. If he tries the same thing with somebody else, they may not be a strong-willed as you.

I've not reported him.
I'm going to see what dear heart says. I don't feel confident reporting him.
Feeling very shaky and upset - which is quite silly, as I took the right action at the time. So I am going to try and pull myself together, buck myself up.
Hugs to all

Evening chums,
I had a brilliant day out at the catering college in Broadstairs and highly reccommend it to anyone wanting a lovely meal if you live within driving distance .:j
My pal came down from Dartford as well, and she enjoyed it as well, although she came back from her month in Viet Nam with a dreadful cough, and she said it started three days before she came home so I don't know if she has picked up a virus there or not .She said her time clock is all over the place still, and she came home 10 days ago.
Our meal was fantastic though and the 1st and 3rd year students worked their socks off bless them.
There was one young man who was slightly disabled and had a slight spasm every now and again, but bless him he was so determined to do as well as his pals and we quite took to him because he was such a fighter and wouldn't let his disability get him down.He also had a smile as big as Texas
The youngsters are all between 17-19 and its so good to see how hard they work and what an excellent standard of commitment they have to their jobs.

Plus the tables were beautifully decorated and we all had crackers and sang Chistmassy songs.A splendid day that we all enjoyed so much.there were 12 of us all told and we were seated at a big round table so everyone could natter away.We all ended up talking about how things were years ago when we couldn't have dreamt of having such a nice meal and a 'takeawy ' was a bag of chips.
My youngest DD is coming round tomorrow to finish off her wrapping for the children as all their presents have to be stashed in my spare room. With five very nosey children all searching her house, its the best place for them. She nips round late on Christmas Eve to pick them up so the kids can never understand where they suddenly appear from:rotfl: :rotfl:
well time I went and put the kettle on for a cuppa,
have a good evening folks
Cheers JackieO xx0 -

Evening everyone
I am really late today, have been out and about all day, and going out again in a bit, to see some friends and have a glass or 3
Went to mums this morning as usual and did the housework and anything else she wanted doing. I had a bit of an accident, I took a sachet of Linseeds with me to grind up in her chopper/grinder which was brilliant....I say was because.....I knocked the bowl off the unit and it smashed on the floor
I felt awfulMum said not to worry, but I know she was a bit upset.
I have said I will get her a new one, but after a phone call to Morphy Richards have found out, they dont make it any more, so I feel even worse now
BIL has just come in, (no sign of him going yet) I have told OH to have a word with him, I went into the room he is using this morning to open the curtains and there were peanuts all over the floor, it looks like a doss house in there I am so
He has until Saturday to get himself sorted out, as DS1.DIL and our 2 DGD's are coming up for 4days on the 18th, and I need to get stuff moved around, and it will need a really good clean in there after he has gone. So he will have to find somewhere else to stay
Better go OH is giving me looks again

Evening all,
I want to thank all who have sent kind posts regarding DD and DGD's 7 rabbits. They are still in shock and still look out for them jumping about in the garden.
DD2 has a flu virus as well as bronchitus, Dr. wont prescribe anything because she is pregnant so I'll pop into the Homeopathic shop tomorrow and see what they suggest. DSiL 2b was sent home from work and fell into bed with woman flu. Never had a day off work before.
OS wise I have lentils soaking for soup to give to the poorlies for lunch tomorrow, I've finished wiring the fircones and sprayed them along with the teasles.
Not much OS posted. Sorry.:o

Pippa - I do hope you manage to get your unwanted (and ungrateful) guest problem sorted out soon.
Wannabesybil - you must report him; he's probably done it before and your complaint may help the police to nail him. How horrible for you; it must have been very frightening for you.
Well, off to laze around for a while.
(((Hugs))) to all.

Good evening all :hello:
I made a Spag Bol for tea - a combination of no potatoes in the houseand being put off pork sausages by the chat at work.. anyway, it was very good and used up some celery which seems to go off if you stop looking at it :rotfl:
Otherwise, it's been a weird day. DSis has announced she now lives with me. (Well, that's how it felt, anyway. She told me after her children.) I don't actually mind, as she is a darling, but..
DS has been made redundant. This is not entirely unexpected, as they have been cutting his hours, but he looks so devastated.
Betheebee, I'm so sorry about the rabbits. *Hugs* for you and yours
wannabe sybil - please report the bad meter man - and *hugs* for you, how frightening!
PippaS - have ebay or freecycle (long shot, but hey) got a new bowl for your Mum?
Hugs for all that need them - and :rotfl: at Hester's BOW son who seems just a tad "over protected..."0
