:rotfl: at the thought of Bow with her "poor little 32 year old child!"
What a wonderful MIL she would make (not!)
Have just fed DD(14) a cup of soup and couple of slices of home made bread to keep her going while the stuff in the Remoska cooks.
She is size 6 and looks like there is a famine - I am size "cough" and look like I caused the famine!!!;)
Betheebee
I am so sorry about your rabbits.
Hugs to anyone that could do with one.
Must try to find the impossible pie recipe (sweet and savoury) and actually write it down so I can use it."This site is addictive!"

Hello...i'm very cold having been studying turf maintenance all afternoon.
but we cooked a group meal (I'm on a residential college placement) and i saved all the suitable veg scraps to feed my rabbits when i get home.....it'd be a shame to waste them.August grocery challenge: £50

Morning all,
I didn't get anything done y/day due to a phone call from DD1 sobbing uncontrolably. A fox had killed all 7 rabbits, they were strewn all over the garden. She collected them and tried to clean as best she could before DGD saw the carnage. DD2 had been sent home from work and had come here after seeing the Dr. She has bronchitis. So DD2 and I drove to Bath to be with DD2 and DGD. I re-checked the garden and found 1 of the rabbits wedged behind a post, sadly it was dead. All acounted for except 1, I expect the fox took that one. I know many would say "they're only rabbits" but they were special and ran free in the garden and house, a part of the door in the huge pen had broken off and that's how they got out.
It broke my heart to see DD and DGD so distraught.
Got home at 6pm after stopping off to do some food shopping, Somerfield are doing Andrex loo rolls 2x9 rolls for £6 so stocked up, got some ys fish for tonights dinner.
Really must start the decs today, and tackle ironing.
DB2 phoned last night to say he and Kids are not coming for Xmas day, to many reasons to go into. So I have loads of veggie stuff in the freezer, made/bought for them so will try and convince DH to have them for dinners/lunches.
((((((((( Hugs to all poorlies, friends and families))))))))))))))
Oh my, I only just saw this, I'm so sorry. My beloved rabbits got killed by a fox two months ago and i still cry for them every day. They were locked in their hutch but a fox chewed through the wire and killed them during daylight. thinking of your family, they must be distraught.

I've found out why BOW has been in tears all week, her DS who is 32 & still living at home is going up to London on his own tonight, well with 17 work colleagues in a coach, & she's frightened he'll get lost, she want's to go with him but he won't let her!
Have a good evening.
Hugs Hester

Poor bloke! Hester, what does BOW stand for btw? I know you must have told us at some point, but I must have missed it!
catznine - ((((HUGS)))) to you and your friend, and ditto for Rzl.
We didn't get a kettle for DD1 and DSIL today after all - all the ones on display were either stainless steel-type finish or white, neither of which is very good for DSIL who hasn't much sight. ( I had a red one in mind.) And although there were lots of kettles on display, very few were actually left in stock! Will have to try somewhere else, maybe Robert Dyas.
halight - hope you have a peaceful evening with the twins!
Must get on and boil the lentils which are going into the chili, but I also need to find the actual chili pepper which is somewhere in the fridge and hope it's still usableIf not, I have some dried chili flakes, so all is not lost.
Hope everyone has a good evening.
Best wishes

Bit upset.
Meter reader came, and was a bit odd. Kept going on about my wedding (18 years ago in another house). When he started waving a pair of knickers around and asking if they were mine I asked him to leave. I had to threaten to call the police. Feel a bit shaky. Actually feel like a good cry. He was acting so odd. It may have been drugs but I have no idea what someone looks like when they are on drugs, so he may have just had a problem relating to people, but I am really upset.
So, I am taking something positive from it, and I am going to clear all the dining room out so should a man call to see the meter I won't have to move anything and he won't be able to get at my smalls.
Little bear was safe in his playpen, which is something, as he is not used to hearing me shout.
Hester - well, at least BOW is good for a giggle occasionally.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -

Oh Wannabee that is odd. I wouldn't think twice and would report him. You shouldn't have the meter read and get that carry on ((hugs)). I would also pop in to your local Police Station/ring them and tell them too...... I'd have probably threatened him with the rolling pin :rotfl:But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. OMG Sybil what a weird one. You should have told him if he didn't leave you would have to strangle him with your knickers!!
Hester - where do you find them, you must be a magnet for dotty women???0
