I bet all the nurses looked sideways too... When asked constantly the same questions off of doctors, i always ask if they have a problem reading..as it is in the notes. Or are they dyslexic? Or do you need a degree in medicine these days to ask inane repetitive questions?..soon stops that one!:rotfl:
The best one, How much did the NHS pay for a non obsolete computer system just so you could ask the same questions 20 other doctors/junior doctors have asked before you?
I spend too much time in hospitals:o
Once when DD2 was in with something serious and we were told we shouldn't have brought her in by some junior doctor who was interrupted from chatting up a nurse..i said to him, was he questioning her consultant's decision? Should i get it in writing that he was questioning the decision and was he qualified yet to question the decision..Oh and we had noted down his conversation with nurse x..soon spoke to the organ grinder..
Sheesh i am a bitter bag:cool:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

There are some horror stories ..glad I'm not one of them as they have made some big ones.
Must say I've never been traeted badly in hospital but I do hate the assumption that when you are overweight it must be down to weight and nothing else.0 -
nope certainly not bitter i have learned form having to go into hospital for work related stuff sometimes you have to be a biatch ...i tell you if ever i am in a care home heaven help the poor individual that has to deal with me ...i will be the trouble maker ( i am already lol) the one that gets pinched ...when i get asked stupid questions like how many sexual partners ihave had ...or an even better one ...i was asked several times by the same dr ...how many kids i had had ...i constantly said one till eventually i said to her look am i that big that i look like i have squeezed out a troop or something ...truth is my man is huge thats why i aint ever slept with anyone else and have only had one kid right ...she got suitable embarressed ...i think you and i were from the same mould in that sense lol
right mr el is finally outa the bath and feels slightly faint so i am gonna go and give him an aromatherpay massage see if the oils might help ...be well everyone catch you soon0 -

No apologies necessary.lol. She said the same thing..bloomin weird isn't it?
Skinty i know what you mean re the questions..i am just so used to being in hospital with DD and then getting asked the same by each bloomin round of doctors, that i get a tad impatient..not on initial consultation though..that is one that i allow.:o
The ones that used to get me mad were when they used to embarrass her when she was about 13 asking about contraception and the like:mad: The poor girl was in for bowels and related incontinence problems, i remember her bursting into tears with one of the doctors questioning. They showed a lack of common sense and tact when they see a patient who is concerned about a major op and asking dumbass questions..although with some they are appropriate.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

i do know what you mean skinty ...i just get so fed up with the same person asking the question as if they dont believe you ...as if your going to lie about it ...i spose some do though ...but i dont and i dont like the assumption that i am ...but hey i would want the right bit taken away of that there is no doubt0 -
well i spent yesterday gutting the downstairs..packed by are my beloved books ...my friend tried to get me to part with them but that just wasnt gonna work lol ....i did take some up for amazon and some for the charity shop ....some of the books i have i just wont read again ...
so today it is finish off the down stairs then start upstairs ...and this is gonna be the night mare ...we have now decided it is gonna take months to get this done ....yes months ....
next is the dinning room ...then the kitchen......then the hall....then the bathroom and finally the bedroom(not looking forward to that one i can tell ya) ...before moving onto the garage ...back garden...and shed ...thankfully the living room isnt too bad i think that is the only room not touched ...
when i went down stairs last night it was quite strange ...it felt like the rooms wernt mine anymore ...it was strange to see the furniture set out like a living room and a bedroom ....a t.v down there is something i have never had down there ....it was in a way upsetting ...not seeing my beloved things where i can just put my hands on ...i still have them but i cant just go down and say oh i fancy a film or a book and have it close to hand ...gone are all the photo's ...gone is the party feel (our down stairs was for partying...fun things etc) and i got a kindve small glimpse of how it must feel for an older person going into a home ...only i still have my things ...alot of these people dont ...they loose their photos their books their beloved nick nacks....i can see how that would hurt ...
the good thing is though ...i am doing it through my choice...hopefully once my friend leaves we will think about renting the bottom half out to bring some income in ...and in the grand plan of what is our life together ...hubby and i want to rent out both the top half and the bottom half of our house so that we can travel....so i am gonna have to get much much more used to these things....
i have loads of things for ebay ...hubby has been told excuses wont be accepted he has to do it ....now just to see how long it takes him ...0
