time to stop messing around

hi everyone... yet another new diary it seems like i only started my other one last week ...i did ...ooops well this one is gonna last that big bit longer after reading hypno's miz karma's et al on here i have realised i need focus it's ok me bumping my gums about things but i need to make the difference now time to stop messing around ...so miz here's a new one :j

oh and it is a long start be warned

Well thought I would join the new bandwagon of strength and determination that seems to be going around here …dragon aint playing any more she is taking prisoners and eating with catsup on everything, hypno is gonna kick butt on her debt next year and get organised in every other way …you never know she might even stop drinking coffee and eating chocolate…. but then why should she want to i know i couldnt give it up…taxi has looked at her achievements (well done taxi) miz is kicking butt as well she is gonna be debt free by next chrimbo …so it looks like I am in with good company and anyway every family needs a black sheep (sorry shaun)

Right this year (really loved this idea taxi just had to steal it)

I have completed a Hypnotherapy N.L.P course …I have wanted to do N.L.P for years but could never afford it…doing so has really helped my personal development.

Having completed my courses I have now decided ( thanks to a lot of people on here) to start my own business

I have started uni… I am currently doing year one of a four year honours degree course in community education so far so good…

I went to Stonehenge with my husband… I have wanted to go there for years but have never had the opportunity we also went to Bath which was lovely

And I met two wonderful m.s.e.r’s.

Ok outcomes for 2009

Nicking hypno’s idea here are mine
  • I will pack job no2 in this year …this will be done as soon as I have paid off the capital one visa (which I currently owe £3,150 to) this will happen before september
  • I will finish year one of uni off …I have been feeling very ugghhh about uni lately and have looked into reasons why I am feeling like this. I have agreed with myself that I will complete year one… I feel even though I am not physically paying for the course I am paying it through my taxes and I am being disrespectful to all the tax payers if I don’t atleast complete what they and I have paid for…I have however decided that if I want to go to year two i will leave the decision till august or september as I am not entirely sure that this course is the one for me.
  • I will pay off £2,000 of my mortgage…. this will be done monthly I will be using Ehallert’s idea of a payment a day ….so some days I might only pay £1 but every bit will help.
  • I will pay off the new mattress that I bought with interest free credit just recently
  • I will pay off the capital one visa this will be done from job no2’s wage I will pay something to it every fortnight till it is cleared and I will not spend any more on it
  • I will pay off £250 towards my overdraft that is just over £20 a month I need to get on top of my finances this year and although I think I could pay it off quickly I think I will just be taking the money from elsewhere to do so.
  • I will pay off a large portion of my american express visa this year this one is currently sitting at £3,500 ouch I need to clear it up a.s.a.p it will be done from being more careful about our money I will be taking pack lunches to uni (currently spending about £20 a week on food for uni) hubby will be cutting back on his money for work…. and to help it on it’s way … I will also try and do some overtime at job no1 till it is cleared…we will stop using the visa infact it is getting cut up tonight. AND DONE
  • Although I am getting £370 a month from uni as a loan I will be putting this into the mortgage (but not counting it towards the £2,000) as I pay 4.69% interest just now and if I put the £370 a month into the mortgage then I will effectively be getting 6.2% interest for it it will be lowering my mortgage therefore it wont be money wasted like it could be.
  • I will pay £400 towards the couches I bought for my treatment room.
  • I will go back to being wise with our money …we were doing so good but I think I got complacent with it all …starting a business certainly didn’t help I had to spend some money on it but it will pay off I am sure.
  • I will go on a stress management course in april and with the help of my business partner we will be including stress management to our business portfolio.
  • Talking of business next year my business will improve I will have paying customers regularly. This will mainly be done through word of mouth advertising as I cant afford to do it any other way and having done a few freebies and getting great reports back I know I will get some referrals.
  • I will complete my indian head massage course in february of next year and add that to my therapies on offer by no later than April…I will start a swedish massage course in september.
  • My health will improve I will be excercising regularly aiming to do so atleast once a week…. I will find a class I love and I will attend it regularly.
  • I will do the West Highland Way .
  • I will get somewhere with my garden i havnt decided quite where yet so any ideas welcome

So there you have it this time next year the preceeding 16 things will be on my completed list and I will have a new one …spose I had better get my butt into gear then.

Happy New diary El, this one sounds so much more positive :T

You have got firm ideas of where you are heading to and more importantly, how you are going to get there.
Personal recommendation is the best form of advertising and can be one of the cheapest, even with a few freebies ;)

I will be following your road to sucess.

    Good Luck.

thanks whatatwit this diary is deff around for the forseeable future might need to change the name though ...just did it last night and it was the best mybrain could think of without coffee...

right well todays start i have transferred £1 to the mortgage account not much at all but a start ...i have also looked at the online bank accounts and i might have a spare £50 to pay towards the amex but i will leave that till hubby get's paid next monday just incase i need it ...did my scratchcards and pigs back ...is it just me or is anyone else getting like 5p a week from pigs back? i feel as if i am wasting my time with it ...am i missing something?

did some work on the business last night did one script for c.d making i have no doubt it will not be perfect but it was my first attempt and i have spent a good few hours on it ...it's so much harder when you have to sit down and be aware of what you are saying the use of language rhythm etc ...a very worthwhile excercise though and one i am sure will help me with doing work with clients ...most deff made me more aware ....

uni today it's the second last week of this semester i have still to have a look at the assignments but i did spend some time with my son over the weekend discussing the outlay of an essay ....

i am going to use the

    10% intro 80% meat 10% finish

say what your gonna say say it say what youve said

    S.E.E.E

outline i think it should work it will deff cut down on my stress levels when thinking of 2500 words etc compared to 100 words relating to .... i should feel a huge amount less pressure

I like the essay idea, it really is all about the technique you use to get your points and views across.
I've struggled with Pigsback for a while, I've just managed to scrape to a voucher level and my Boots voucher arrived at the weekend.

I've just been greeted by the cat, wet through and he's left muddy footprints all over the bed, I think he's gone to wipe himself all over the curtains now

Hi el, good plans!!! But I was a little disturbed when I saw that you think I might be giving up chocolate and coffee........neither of those things, you will be pleased to know, appear on my "aims for 2009".......:D

The CD stuff does get easier - except when you start to cough when you are almost at the end  :rotfl:

i did think chocolate and coffee were a step too far to be honest there are only so many things a person can achieve in one year;) ...and i didnt want to mention your housework achievements incase you mentioned mine (or lack of:o )

i'm using sound board for my c.d work i am meant to be able to splice things together although i still have to try this out obviously:rotfl: :rotfl:
