Which mobile retailers are reliable with cashbacks?
Given the number of times discussion starts on this board about whether XYZ company is reliable with the cashbacks, I thought I would start this thread with a poll.
Please indicate against the mobile retailer you have used whether you have received the cashback as stated in the original offer.
Hopefully if we get enough replies this may give an indication of reliability (though, as always, buyer beware - there may be examples of good and bad experiences with retailers and it will depend on people strictly adhering to the terms and conditions of the offer).
Discussion on cashback experience with different retailers is available on the following threads (which may explain some of the experiences - I will update if I notice others or if anyone points out additional useful threads):

It is more likely to produce a result proportional to how many customers each has, and as not many of us have figures for market share it may be difficult to reach any conclusion.
I give 3 votes to a company that is not on the list, Scancom.0 -
Unfortunately it would only let me have 10 options - what I wanted to do was to have a comparison of reliable/unreliable or good/bad experience (ie two lines for each company), but there is not enough space on the poll function to allow this. I then thought of changing the question to bad experiences but you cannot change a poll once it is set up. If there is a way for mods to add additional companies or add another line for each to reflect negative experiences as well it could be adapted.
I take your point about it being proportional to how many customers each has, but the aim was just to get an indication of how many people have had positive experiences and which companies people are opting for (ie the more positive experiences indicated, perhaps would be a reasonable indication of the company). Clearly the other threads will also help provide context and each company will have customers who have had good and bad experiences.

I agree - we need to much more info - ie I could rate retaillers by:
Are t&C clear (eg one company asks for 11th and 12th bills within 45 days for m12 payout but does not make clear that these need to be sent seperately within 45 days of each bill)
Are claim proceedures straightforward (eg some companies want original bills or within 14 days of bill date)
How many claims required (eg some companies want 5 claims within 12 months)
How long between claim and receipt of cheque (Some companies make claim vouchers valid for 3 months and then pay out 45 working days after expiry of the voucher)
How much chasing required (Some companies fail to pay without several phone calls
Payment of referal/online order bonuses (Some companies reserve the right to send vouchers instead but then never send anything anyway)
Is it a true cashback (some companies credit the customers mobile account with the 'cashback' requiring the customer to stay with the account to benefit from the cashback)
May be we need a sticky where we try to keep up to date with each companies policies
Today's quiz is to name the companies aboveI think....0 -
I have had good experiences with scancom and chatterbox; long delays plus wrong amounts plus no online 10 quid bonus from osps; long delays from mobileshop and e2save (worse for the so called 'auto cashback'); and I have just had phones2youdirect reject my quidco affiliate referral so I am not confident about the cashback from then either now.I think....0

Used e2save last time. Thre was adelay with my first cashback but second (final) one was paid on time. So overall no problem with them.
Am using CPW at the moment but haven't reached the first (of 3) cashbacks yet.0
