Morning - my saga with Flogas is that last Dec I signed a new 3 year contract at a price of 33ppl and no surcharge (specifically hand written on the contract). This was after playing them off against Calor who were offering a similar deal. Anyway , just had my bulk tank filled and the bill is for 46ppl. They're arguing the contract price is variable and despite all my arguments they're sticking to the price. Anyway gonna speak to the supervisor on Mon and see how we can 'resolve' the situation. Interestingly, in their T&C's they can change the price depending on market conditions etc but then goes on to say that the customer can also 'negotiate' with Flogas. Took some legal advice - usual thing - T&C's are watertight in court - could mention 'unfair contract terms' etc but from the previous posts, Flogas don't strike me as fair company to deal with. As with other posts , it would be good to hear what other people pay as this seems to be the on eof the more successful ways of renegotiating a new price...
Anyway, hope everyone has a safe and warm  New Years Eve celebration
    Update you in 2009

the more i read about flogas and the other lpg companies we as lpg customers are being fleeced they know we can not get natural gas and there are only 4 lpg suppliers who must know each others price
so keep the price high i switched to flogas as BP were worse was quted 32p a ltr that was in January my bill came in for my refill gone up to 36p a ltr as in other posts when i said about fixed price you are on a varibale agreament that it can go up or down not the latter
have tried MVF can not do any better has any one found a cheap supply for lpg as the tank can be switched between suppliers it is costing me £100 per month for gas people i know who are on natural are paying half this:mad:

Not quite true! Only 4 major suppliers, who have about 80% of the market. You can find out who'll supply to you by putting your postcode in http://www.uklpg.org/supplier-search/

The price the majors charge their customers varies. Even houses in the same estate can pay different prices. In the 'LPG price comparison' thread a lady called Margretwilkins, in the midlands, recently said she'd negotiated a great deal with Calor. She hasn't given any figures - and hasn't answered any of my questions yet, but maybe she'd answer a private message. She'd probably be keen to recommend you to Calor (and get a bit off her bill). rapidoman obviously gets a good deal from Countrywide. In June I switched from BP, who were (surprisingly) fleecing me, and went to Extra Fuel, based in Manchester, who post a month by month price on their website http://www.extrafuel.co.uk - this month (August 2010) it's 36.94ppl. In June I paid 36.03 and Flogas delivered the lpg to me in Bodmin, mid-Cornwall. So wonderful, wonderful Flogas delivered the gas for which I paid 36.03 - then took the rest of the tankerload to their customers who paid probably a bit more. Several people on the LPG threads have recommended Extra Fuel. If you sign up, and mention who suggested them you'll get a bit of your first bill - and so will whoever suggested them. BP and Calor do this too - they probably all do though most of us wouldn't recommend any of the big suppliers! Very helpful guy, Mark Slack, at Extra Fuel, on 0161 789 0000 - he sent me a chart of their prices for the last 18 months.

If LOTS of us switch to the small suppliers either the big 4 will have to become competitive - or they'll buy all the small fry (and then fleece us all again!).

    Good luck!

Good Advice on the Local suppliers but beware of companies that supply gas through a third party, when its very cold who do you think will get their delivery. The customer with the gas company with tankers in the area, or the customer who order gas from a third party who then has to beg an already busy partner to deliver it and share the profit between them!!
