    Hello everyone!

I'm feeling a fair bit chirpier now, but am in a major panic about Christmas... I have only bought two small mindings and don't have the money to buy everyone elses gifts so I am going to have to do the un-thinkable - I am going to have to spend on my credit card.

Saying that I think all my christmas presents in previous years have gone on a credit card but it feels like such a failing this year.

    my list

    today I have/will
-continue to use the work's tissue supply
-check online banking (see above comments)
    -check mobile spend
    -charge mobile at work
    -charge mp3 player at work
-buy a couple of christmas presents online and check for cashback
    -do Samaritans shift
    -storecupboard meals
    -tidy kitchen
    -clean bathroom?
    -take library books back
-read non-library book, bought with tokens during the summer
-try to get a decent nights sleep
    -update MSE diary

Big hugs to those that need it.

    Hello everyone!

OH's sister got married this weekend - wasn't very MSE but we had a fantastic weekend. I'm exhausted and feeling very happy. I managed to get a little money as part of the festivities and I have added it to my sealed pot. I reckon there's about £50 in there already! Today is about resting and doing a bit of catching up.

We popped into town today and spent a bit of money in Woolies. I bought loads of cards for 50% off which will go in my stash. Also found some wine glasses as I was down to my last one.
    • Add the last £125 to savings account to pay off CC when 0% runs out. This takes my debt down to just under £15K which I had really hoped I'd achieve by the start of 2009.
    • Update spreadsheet and signature
    • Submit gas and electric readings
    • Washing and airer dry
    • Try and aviod turning on the heating - it's so cold!
    • Get a good proportion of my work report done - I've split it into three stages and I hope to finish Stages 1 and 2 today!
    • Free dinner at OH's parents tonight! The festivities will be going on for some time as we've got family from all over the world.
    • I'm sure that there's more but I don't think I'm going to manage it all.
    Have a great day everyone.

Mbaz, hope you enjoyed your break and feel refreshed and revitalised!

Norton blade, i too only have nine more gets up until the playgroup where i work, breaks up for Christmas, am so looking forward to it!!

Bathgatebuyer, sorry to hear your news and your attitude to life is so right.

Urg, glad you had a nice time at the wedding.

Ktjazz, don't see it as a failure spending on your credit card, as you said yourself, normally it would all go on the credit card, so at least you have done well for that not to happen. Plus you could always up your money saving ways so you could get it paid off quicker, just like piq did with the saddle. Plus as bathgatebuyer said, there is more to life than money. Is there no way you could make any homemade gifts?

    Proper post now!!

    Today i will/have:
-Been to college and worked on my nvq, all part of the big dream!!
-Resisted wasting money on cake at college!
-Went and did two mystery shops which pay extremely well!
-Had two free lunches courteousy of the mystery shops!! Fatty me!! But i got bottled drinks so i could at least take them away, plus cakes which came in bags so i could have a taste of them but take the majority of it home with me. I get reimbursed for the food as well so well worth it.
-Parked at one mystery shopping place, so got free parking and then walked into town and did a third mystery shop!
-Have cancelled massage for tonight, was going to get a free massage, which was great but i would have to pay for the petrol out there and back which is about £5, but don't have time today due to mystery shopping reports, so at least i have saved myself petrol money
-I have looked for mystery shops and have rescheduled one job
-Heating has been off all day, which is great

-will take meter readings and input in site
-Write up all three mystery shopping reports
-Sort out dry washing and put next lot on radiators
    -Make meals from storecupboard
    -Work through emails
    -Do some surveys

    -Check online banking
    -Place matched bet
-Put away all ironed clothes from yesterday
-Check business email and web site optimization
-Continue using up old beauty products
    -Do some nvq work
-Decide what obs i need to do and when
-Do some work for actual job, setting targets and IEPs
    -Photocopy necessery documents

    -Spend 15mins on marketing business!
-Remember to turn everything off at the walls so its not using up too much elec, plus when cooking with pans remember lids!! - must cut down on gas and elec
-Sign up to some more challenges
    -Look on freebie section
-Check out gas and elec thread for more ways to cut down gas and elec!!

Thats enough for me as these reports will keep me busy for the next few hours, have a great day everyone!

I'm not really the handiest with handmade gifts... I have a bad habit of spending more money on materials than I would have on a cheap gift.

    I'll get there.
