yup - that's where it is failing - it is not switching on.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

We had a similar issue yesterday with DS's new tv. Could run the PC through it but not the cable.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Have given up on the xbox now - DS is watching the Goofy movie and DD is still asleep.
I have been for a run - didn't go as far as I wanted but went faster than ever before, so mixed results there - I should be concentrating on going further, not going faster but can't seem to get that balance right!
So I went too fast for the first couple of miles and then my legs decided to give in. I reckon I ran far enough though, to devour this box of Thorntons choccies next to me, without guilt.........!
I might go and use some of my Christmas smellies and have a lovely bubble bath in a bit. But first I will have a much needed coffee!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. I'm torn between long lovely soak in the bath or fitting new PC monitor first. Think bath will win as PC desk needs a good declutter.
Working this afternoon/evening-hoping there's enough no-shows they offer some extra hours today too.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Oh yes, duchy, I would choose the bath over the decluttering any time!
Fingers crossed for extra hours at work tonight - it all helps!
DD has just got up - its a tough life being a teenager :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Glad you enjoyed christmas day. It's so hard being on a budget with teenagers as they always want all the expensive stuff.I'm sure he was perfectly happy with his presents as he knows you sacrifice loads for them to do skiing and other sports.0

Oh yes, Taxi, DS knows exactly how it is, and appreciates what he does get. I suppose he was just having one of those moments, like we all get, when we wish that we could just go and spend like our peers do, and that life as a DFWer is sometimes a little tiring. And of course, although I know I am doing as much as I can, as a Mum it is then hard not being able to say that you can make it all ok.
Anyway, this afternoon we all took our Christmas money and vouchers and went sale shopping.......DD got a fab coat, DS bought a game, a DVD and a football shirt, and I bought a pair of shoes, a party dress for next year and a work dress (hurrah for pigsback vouchers!).......so everyone is happy, and still came home with spare vouchers and money.
The rest of the day/evening will be spent watching films on telly and eating chocolateSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Hypno I know nothing about XBox's but have you thought about posting on the Techie Board. They are really helpful and it might be simple to sort?0
