No chance of being shot down SF - and I would like to be rid of anything, to be honest! It seems to fit nicely too.Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

The payments on the little loan are about £43 per month.
On a completely BAD BAD note - I mug punted....it is Cheltenham.....and my horse "Ski Sunday" just came in second........(don't worry, I only bet £2.50 each way) but he was 20-1 so I made a profitSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. I have heard alot of talk of full and final settlements on this board. Would this apply to you or do you have to be on a DMP or something to offer a lower payment to pay in full early? Just wondering if you could offer a lower amount?0

Well done on the money coming back to you.For what it's worth I'd clear the smaller loan off with that and carry on with whatever the plan was for next.0

Hypno, why don't you start a new thread about this dilemma? That way more people will see it and you'll get a broader range of opinions.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

The 0% is until June next year, and the plan is still to have all the debt gone (including that balance) by then (or be pretty close to it), so the aim will be to not go anywhere near having to pay the extortionate Virgin APR at all.
If it looks like I won't be able to get close to paying the Barclayloan off (I think we find out about bonuses in May or June, so I will have an idea then) then I will use it to reduce the Egg loan, and carry on throwing money at that one to get it gone quicker.
I've not mentioned this to OH yet - for fear that he sees a balance of £3800 available and decides he can have the new motorbike he wants, after all.....

These don't apply to me - they are for people who have been passed onto DCAs etc or who are on DMPs.
I have almost decided what to do - and that is to throw it at my Egg loan.....I know it is the lowest of the APRs but it is the one I have been targeting, and it was one of the biggest (originally £25k). If I use the 0% and the money I got today, It would bring it down to about £3500 which is a really low amount compared with where we started, so if I continue throwing the extra cash at it, I can get it cleared fairly quickly, thereby freeing up the £422 per month I currently pay. Then I can have a little less worry should jobs change etc, because £422 is a BIG amount not to have to find, but if work etc remains plentiful, then that £422 can then go towards the next one.
So, basically, I am probably going to continue just as I have been, that way, I see the benefit of getting rid of egg (hurrah), freeing up £400 and having that little bit of flexibility.
Or maybe I......:rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
