I'll be a Grumpy Old Woman. Complained to LEA today as secondary school list hadn;t been forwarded to Primary I work in. They had decided it wasn;t being sent to Primary Schools till the end of the month - not a lot of good if you have children coming in upset as they didn;t get the school of there choice............... so I emailed and complained and would you know it ......... they cahnged their mind. 5 mins later - the list arrived by e-mail!!!!
Anyway - had a NSd yesterday (interviewing from 8.30am till 6.30) and TODAY
Hope everyone is well0 -

What is it about "I cannot afford to pay any more at present" that they do not understand? When will this recession end? Will someone start a Grumpy Old Men R Us club? There must be a few blokes out there on the DFW network who can chunter as well as us females. Over to you, boys.

* Begins grumpy old man (Well I'm not old but for effect...) rant*
Ok so I spent 13 months complaining to Nationwide to get my fees repaid and credit score sorted. Lo and behold three months later after I asked them to close the account, it's still open and once again, fees are being put in it?!
Tried calling them and apprently their call centres don't open past 6pm. Fat lot of good that is for me.
Work: Found out the useless incompetent manager spent the past week charging 37.5 hours for the week when she was coming in for 12:30pm and leaving at 5... With breaks... She has also done sweet f-a in terms on the work she needed to have done. I come back in from a few days off and finish ALL my work and then have to clean up a mess from Friday that she was meant to have done but didn't. Audit trails show that she didn't and yet she'll plead ignorance on it!
Then... http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/woman/article2287381.ece
I read this. The second girl, Tessa, was my friend and supervisor at uni. And put the whole stress of work into perspective!
So I'm taking 2 steps forward and 4 back at the mo! Debt Free since July 2011 and it feels good!
Now it's all about finding a deposit for a house!
How do you amass £70k in a year?! :eek:0 -
Sounds like you have had "one of those days" walshy - and yes, that newspaper article certainly does bring it all back into perspective. So, perhaps now is the time to embrace that lazy manager, and the useless bank staff........go on, give them a big squeezy hugSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. Ok a hug is sooooo.... Not going to happen. I won't possibly scream at them. My manager especially! Except if she calls me up on my work (there isn't any) and I call her bluff with the hours she's been working and also exactly what she's been doing! :T
Nationwide *SHOULD* be quite easy to handle. I've got all the statements and paperwork to show that this shouldn't have happened. I'll probably have to go into a branch to get the final bits sorted but I just can't be bothered. The nearest branch is in the city which costs me more money than it should.
This is what I 'love' about working in Bermondsey, it's in the middle of nowhere... I livei n the middle of nowhere, so therefore I'm screwed if I need anything done! :rotfl::beer: Debt Free since July 2011 and it feels good!

No, the weather is obscene! I don't normally run on a Tuesday anyway, so it's no bother, not to run tonight. I will go out for my usual Wednesday run, whatever the weather, tomorrow night.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes.
