Good news on the job, llamahead! You seem to be getting loads of MS'ing in - mine have all but dried up with just 2 booked in this year.......ah well, I suppose I am busy enough without them at the moment...

TAB scratchcard is not working for me at the mo, so will have to try again later, but just 10p on the other.....

Good news and a bit of fun on here! I had a heavy day yesterday, but some good results with it - doctor, paid work etc. Strange phone call tho - I'm rationalising my telecoms, will save maybe £160 a year - and I had aphone call yesterday to call Virgin Media on a *mobile* - !!!!!!???? Why would I do that, when I have the free and lo-cost ones available? I'm going to complain about that - can I appear in Grumpy Old Women R Us too please? :D

I did a right grumpy old woman thing at Connexions when they called yesterday.
They and the education dept have been absolutely useless in sorting out a new placement for DS and this poor woman was given my file with no prior warning that I was not going to be happy.
Hopefully message is now clear that they need to pull their finger out -she was very nice once she realised what a pigs ear had been made of the situation and seems to "get" that DS is top ten academically but can't cope with the physical enviroment of school. Oh well time will tell if she's just talking the talk or if she can walk the walk too.

Fellow Grumpy Old Woman logging in and reporting for duty.

Have had yet another call from ex-bankers ( must be a typing error there somewhere!!) who found themselves talking to a rather fetching little tan leather two seater sofa in an empty room...... Have just completed snotty complaint letter and am about to write to Ombudsman with copies of all correspondence as well as list of all calls, dates and times.

Good news in the post, it looks like my ex-bankers may soon be passing the debt on, so the interest and charges will cease and the phone calls will cease. Can't wait, I am getting quite excited.

Shaun - ironing is one of those OCD things women and military personnel suffer from, don't worry about it. If you live in giant - size all-in-one Babygros you don't need to iron anything.

Have just posted off complaints letter to bank and complaint form plus copy of all documentation to Ombudsman, so feeling in smug git mode. What is it about "I cannot afford to pay any more at present" that they do not understand? When will this recession end? Will someone start a Grumpy Old Men R Us club? There must be a few blokes out there on the DFW network who can chunter as well as us females. Over to you, boys.

Wanted - applicants to form a society for Grumpy Old Men R Us and Grumpy Old Women R Us. You do not need to suffer from pre, post or peri menstrual tension to qualify, just a sense of frustration when dealing with shops, banks, businesses, in fact anyone whose mission it seems is to grind the working man/woman down.
