Morning Hypno - sorry your feeling "down" - we all get those days. We've noticed a lack of outside decoarations as well - we don't have them anyway but a few houses round here have always had masses and this year have only put the blue icicile ones up. We've got a tree up but its coming donw next Saturday !!!! don't want it still up when we get back from my sisters.

Happy 2nd MSE birthday as well - how many packs of virtual jaffa cakes did you scoff !!!!

DS is back from Uni so now working my way through the washing slowly - he managed to mix his clean stuff with dirty stuff so its all going through !!!

Am off to dentist again today - hopefully this will be the final time - gum seems to have healed Ok where they took that tooth out so hoping that the crown will be fitted and that will be that ............... till next time.!!

Its thick freezing fog here at the moment - so not looking forward to driving to work as its all on back lanes.

    Have a good one

Sorry you're feeling blue, Hypno .... I have to say, I'm not feeling particularly wonderful myself. Okay, but yes, things are weighing me down, its just the way it is. So lots of virtual hugs and  (thats coffee).

you have text madam but a big huge squidgy cuddly ((((HHHHHUUUUUGGGGG))))) on here to. but as i know you don't do hugs, BIG boot up the butt too!!!!! next year that WILL BE YOU! why? because you'll be debt free or as near as dammit! just focus on that hon and think, this year alone, including this months figures, you've cleared over 25k. that is quite something. do it again in 09 you'll debt will be a fragment of what it is now and a molecule of what you started with. lots of love. xxx

Hi Hypno, so sorry to hear you are feeling low. This DFW thing really is an up-and-down journey. I hope you manage to shake that cold off soon, and take a bit of time off to recharge.

As for Christmas - it's only 12th December! Surely most people don't have trees and lights up so early. I never do anything till the schools break up. This year I'm ahead of myself but only as I went to a carboot sale so took the opportunity to stock up on presents, and I won a tree. For goodness sake don't feel bad about not being in a Christmassy mood so early.

You have come a really long way since starting here, and not just debt-wise. And you'll never know how much you've inspired hundreds of other DFWs.
    Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.62

  • ^^^^ what she said. And you know you will appreciate it all (the short breaks etc) so much more because you've had to wade through all the treacle to get there :) x
Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012.

I know how you feel! I feel the need to get away, even for a few days, but know that if I try really hard next year I can be debt free - but I hate the thought of 12 months of stressing about money and not wanting to spend - but desprately wanting to spend (you know what I mean - i'm not very coherant - been on night shift!) As for Christmas - bought new tree lights in tesco (half price) but took them back in a fit of guilt - and made do with the old ones!

Kids - don't even start me! - mine have been hard work this week - not only the washing thing - the little ones have been getting up at 6 and are permanently tired and grumpy - but off to thier Dad's this weekend so won't see them till monday after school - I wanted to cry when they left for school this morning! You would think I'd enjoy the break but I miss them so much!

Hope your day improves - we all have down days! Hope your cold improves (fluids, paracetamol, vit c! - still in uniform so still got my nurses head on!)
