Happy MSE Birthday Hypno!!
How much have you paid off in that time??
I'm not entirely sure, because I wasn't completely honest with myself at the beginning about our level of debt.
I would guess that it is about £35k though.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Congrats on a MSE birthday
You've come so far and inspired so many to become superclean and debt free ironing fiends (well maybe one of those!)Looking for the perfect home and saving to make becoming a MFW easier

taka - remember though that the kids cost me a fortune in skiing......and I wasn't employed but self employed for the first year. It certainly "feels" more than £35k but I don't think it is! Wow not been around for a fews days and a brand new super duper diary springs up and gets to 13 pages!!!! Never read any of your other diaries from the start (didn't have a spare week!) but managed to read this one! I love the way you are focusing on different aspects of your life aswell as the debt free part - I am going to take a leaf out of your book - and try to get a grip next year ( maybe not with the ironing!!!! I even tried to pay DD2 to do it - not very MSE! But even that didn't work out!)
Anyway - great diary - look forward to reading it x0 -
I've tried the [STRIKE]bribery[/STRIKE] payment for jobs route too, but to no effect, Judi.........my DD obviously has inherited my housework genes.
Today I feel tired, and very lacking in energy. One of "those" days.......I paid my bonus to my egg loan yesterday and whilst it felt good to be reducing the debt further, others in the office are booking short breaks away and hitting the sales, and it was one of those reminders of what "should" have been.
So, I think that wading through treacle effect is here today - the combination of the continued debt/lack of money, and the effects of my cold which are now making me tired, have hit, and I hate these days.
I am not organised for Christmas - it is creeping up rapidly and I don't feel remotely festive right now - I have noticed that not many people have trees and lights up this year and I wonder whether it is just people taking their time or whether the mood of the economy is somehow being reflected?
Anyway, sorry for the rant - I will feel better later, I'm sure. Best get on and do scratchcards and banking.........
Hope you are all well xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Morning Hypno,
Sorry to hear you are feeling tired this morning and that your cold's bugging you a bit.
Happy 2nd MSE birthday to you for yesterday and I hope you enjoyed your lunch.
As for being organised for Christmas, for the first time in years I am but doubt that it'll last, so don't be too hard on yourself and I agree about the decorations and trees, it's the same here I've not seen alot of Christmassy things being put up. There is a house on the next street and every year they go overboard with the decorations on the outside of the house and this year....nothing, not even a bauble.
As for ranting...rant away...it's your diary you're entitled to.
Hope you have a good day today and feel better soon.

Morning
Hypno - congrats for yesterday, the day after a "birthday" always feels miserable. We can't be cheerful all the time otherwise we wouldn't be human.:grouphug: and :EasterBun
Well the cards didnt get written - no suprise there. But I did find the bottom of the ironing pile :j
We are the only house in our row with outdoor lights (not very mse, I know but DS and DH love them) but none of the others have ever seemed to bother.
