Good wishes to Lady L too, hope it goes well today.

Asda delivery has been. Luckily I realised quite quickly that I didn't have any toilet rolls and got on the phone to the store so they could ring the driver while she was still close and they brought them round. I can manage without a lot of things but not toilet rolls!

After that I took the dog out, not icy any more.

Sorry about your dog lil-me. Our dog is 13 and was showing signs of senility but not much destruction apart from emptying the wastepaper basket sometimes. She is on tablets which have really livened her up, she was staring at walls before. But I don't know whether she feels any happier than she would without the tablets so it's really a question of whether you can afford them and whether you want to give them. At the moment we're both working and can afford them, but if one of us lost our jobs that would change. I'd keep giving her Flexicam for her joints rather than Vivitonin for senility if you see what I mean. (and she's on Propalin which stops her weeing everywhere).

I suppose it's like people, usually they end up ill for the last year or something. In the end we have to make that difficult decision, it would be so much easier if the vet would just say straight out "that's it".

To be frugal, you need to spend money wisely, simply spending less is not enough.
