Morning all!
Oops I've done it again - not been online all week. So ...
Belated Happy Birthdays to all who've celebrated this week,
Big hugs to all who are sad or unwell at the moment, or who have relatives or friends who are,
Good luck to anyone taking tests, doing coursework, having interviews, doing their Christmas shopping or to anyone else who needs some.
and a Big Welcome to people who have just discovered this thread.
Sorry I haven't been about again. I always have the best of intentions at the beginning of the week, but somehow things always get in the way. I have been to the gym this week though, and plan to make up for the flying this weekend as my plans to go out today have been scuppered by the weather. I'm not looking forward to going out to the garage in the rain and wind to put the washing in the TD.
Well I'm going to go and have a shower and attempt to wash my hair - have done this at the gym since we've moved as the water pressure is so rubbish, so hope I manage to wash the shampoo out before the hot water runs out.
Will be on again when I'm dressed and dried to issue a HHC, so look out for it if there is anyone online still.
See you all later,

Any suggestions as to what I can do to rescue the tiles? They're spanish terracotta, so extremely porous, and I was planning on sealing them with boiled linseed & white spirit, then polishing them with wax.
Greenbee - not an OS suggestion but what I did was took myself to Wickes, bought some Plasplugs Heavy Duty Tile Cleaner which is specifically for removing grout from unsealed quarry tiles prior to waxing. Needs to be done asap though. Contains phosphoric acid and is pretty grim stuff.
Hugs for all those in need.
Pouring with rain here, so far I have made breakfast and crawled into the chicken ark on my hands and knees (though the mud and unmentionable yuck) to screw the door handle back on so I can actually open it. We must come up with an more permanent solution asap, can't really complain to the manufacturer or he gets a bit stroppy (DH). It was the prototype and we would make it rather differently now.
Need to do lots of things today, including WM x a million. Off to fill the DW now. have a good day everyone.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Morning all.
Hugs to all those going through difficult times.
Reading your posts makes me feel guilty for feeling sorry for myself when there is nothing wrong.
Think I'm just not 'doing' winter very well this year. Maybe need to go back on the St Johns Wort.
Plus I've either got a chill or some of my meds are disagreeing with my tum IYKWIM.
Anyway I ducked out of a xmas meal last night - could not face going for bus in driving rain then discovered that the way the wind was blowing it had found the 'problem' in my roof and I had a drip again. So had to put a bowl under it - didn't get too much in it this morning and the rain has stopped now.
Must give myself a shake and find some oomph. Anyone seen any?0 -
Llamahead - forget the nurofen for the hangover - have a fry up breakfast! I've just had fried potatoes, bacon, mushrooms and egg and feel soooooo much better!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Supposed to be going shopping at some point this morning - waiting for my mate to text me to let me know what time.
I have loads to do this weekend really but will see how I get on. AF's here and she doesn't fill me full of get up and go!NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

Well I'm here but am not looking at the mess that is my living room..lol. I am going to a local flylady meeting for a group I belong to on Yahoo later this morning. Am looking forward to it as I have known this group of ladies for 6 years now and we all have a good natter and catch up of everyone, in person, when we have these meetings. Plus they all enjoy my cakes and look forward to what ones I have baked for them - have done some cheese straws and a gooey chocolate cake with dark chocolate icing
I'm going to have a shower and wash up the breakfast things in a min. Although I have been productive, I have chopped up the fresh runner beans and leeks from the veg box and put them in the freezer. I just have to seperate the mince and chicken portions, that we brought while at Costco last week, and put them in the freezer .
Thankfully I can start the flying again next week as DH is back at work.. Boy has he been getting on my nerves this past week, and always under my feet..lol. I love having him off on holiday but after about 3 days it gets too much and I can't do anything as he is there!!
Off to make my tea and then shower..Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Morning ladies, thankyou for all the positive vibes, i feel little more upbeat this morning as i haven't had a phone call about my friend, her neighbour and also a good friend stayed at hospital last night so i would know by now if she had started to get any worse. The last i heard is that they have managed to get her stable and so long as no other organs shut down by monday (her heart as had a little strain on it and not as bad as originally thought) they will go ahead and do the tracheoctomy so a little more positive than what we were told yesterday morning. She's a fighter alright, she may be 65 but she has a lot of life and love to give yet. And i know she is not ready to go, so she will definately put up a fight.
I am going to town this morning i have to get everything finished this weekend for xmas as Oh goes back on monday and does not return until sunday night so can't really shop next weekend so i am off to write my list. Luckily its not that big but bits i cannot not get iyswim. So when i have have got my bits i am going to nip up to see her, and on my way to town i am going to call in and see my aunt, so its going to be busy but i feel ihave to do it xx
Serena hope they find out where your mums infection is hun and she has a speedy recovery xx
There are lots on here thats having a tough time lately and as i have been in selfish mode for a few days i cannot now remember you all and i am sorry but heres some big squishy hugs for you all xx:grouphug:You can touch the dust but please don't write in it !
