UPDATE ON THE DAUGHTERS PLATES/GLASS SITUATION:
She has moved them on to the landing outside her bedroom, they are now all covered with ants  .
I WILL NOT MOVE THEM!!
I would! I'd put them back in her room, ants and all! Tell her they stay there or she brings them downstairs and washes, dries and puts them away! AND no more cups, plates or food in her room unless she's learnt her lesson.:mad:DMP mutual support thread No: 433 - Mortgage - £54,556, Credit cards - £4012, Unsecured loan - £3,376, Other - £419

Should have said "Good morning, all!"
Poached egg eyes this morning and DH keeps telling me how bad he feels. I reminded him that, although not unsympathetic, in all the 6 weeks I was off I still washed, ironed, cooked (or at least planned) meals and did minimal flying! MEN!
This morning I've drifted through my dailies, unpacked and installed the new tumble dryer (which involved lifting it up on to a unit) as DH and DS didn't do it yesterday, were still in bed and I needed to use it. It's so quiet compared with my old one.I've also vacuumed downstairs and washed the kitchen floor.
Foster puppy 2 has gone to her new home this morning. They were a lovely family with an 11 year old who's been carrying her photo around all week - Bless! He said she's his early Christmas present.
Anyway, DS said he will come and give me a hand with the shopping, but I made DH walk to the paper shop earlier for our Saturday paper. I also need him to help DS get the decorations out of the attic!
I think I need to find some lunch as I didn't have breakfast coz I felt a bit yucky.
See you later. xDMP mutual support thread No: 433 - Mortgage - £54,556, Credit cards - £4012, Unsecured loan - £3,376, Other - £419

I can't believe how energetic you all (ESPECIALLY Triker) have been this morning.
I'm trying to summon up the energy to go to Winchester to pick up my jeans (they were shortened last week), then off to Basingstoke to pick up some port for my Dad (and possibly by wine to give to my team at work for Christmas), and to visit Wickes and follow up on hex's suggestion for tile cleaner.
... so you can guess what I'll be doing when I get back...
Catch you all later....0 -
Nearly finished DS1's pit, just having some crackers and cheese to refuel before dragging him up there for a bit of a sort out.
DH is busy organising a ski trip for half term and booking iceskating at Kew Gardens for between Christmas and New Year. He is also doing the meter reading to finish the gas switch. He has outside lights to sort but it is still raining at present. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
triker what a fabulous trip to look forward too - and you all need it with the crap time you have been having at work - well done on the MSE bits - and VERY well done on your jobs - you are like a woman possessed!!!!!:rotfl:
Crafty no, havent seen Tom - gues he's been on long hours at the hospital again. Hope by the time you read this you have stopped panicking, you did a quick room rescue and your visitors have been and gone - bet you had a nice chat with them and your panicking was for nothing!!!! We are all the same!!!!
And dont you dare apologise for what you call self pitying - it was just a moan and we all need to do that some times - yes i would agree that when we read of other peoples troubles on here we feel pathetic for our moans (I know I do) but we all have 'problems' just to varying degrees. And we are not being self centred , pathetic or wimps its just how life treats us and how we react.IYSWIM - hope that makes sense!!! I am not as good as pigpen or sarah or lil_me at putting my thoughts into words!!!
I am working towards a 'tidy' flat by hogmanay with a view (I suppose 'resolution') to have 'me' 'craft' 'hobby' type time in 2009. your signature sums me up perfectly - I cant do 'me' time at present as I would feel guilty!
pinkfairy you are very NAUGHTYlifting the TD by yourself - I know they are not that heavy but still you should have shouted at someone to help you!!! bad fairy!!!!!!! :rotfl: Sounds like foster puppy 2 has a good home - bless the wee boy he sounds like a gem! You should keep giving OH little jobs to do - I am sure the bit of movement will help him feel better!!:rotfl:
I am plugging away at my list and quite pleased with what I have achieved so far - will update my list later.
