Right more stuff re-arranged, put away and decluttered.

I despair at the amount of make-up, make-up bags, bags, clothes that don't fit, books, magazines, necklaces, earrings, boxes and buckets of stuff, perfume and general bits and bobs I have found.:o Some was from my 40th this May but it's still in the bag I brought it all home in.:o:o:o:o:o

It's all wasted on me I'm such a scruff and quite happy being so, what do I do with it all?

Anyway best get on, more to do and I need to get a bit of shopping in to.

Pigpen I have to log onto vodaphone website to get your message, I'll do it in a bit.;)

Hair nicely coloured and coiffed (shame the coiffing bit only lasts about 10 minutes!).

But I have to go out again. I had some speakers linked up to the old cable box and one of them lives under the little settee in the kitchen so that I can listen to the TV when I'm in there without the rest of the street listening in too.

But, of course, the new box don't take the old leads so I need a converter! Thank heavens for Maplins just down the road....

He is on his way to the tip for the second time today and I am sure there will be other trips tomorrow. I cannot believe the absolute carp my house has been full of:eek:

Will be having steak for dinner tonight - can't remember when I last cooked it so just hope I don't mess it up.

I have just paid a few bills online s,o that I don't forget them later in the month, and I am making a shopping list as at this time of year I tend to run out of the simple stuff like eggs and flour - to wrapped up in Pringles and Quality Street methinks:rotfl:

Thanks for the links lil_me. I agree that he should put it right at his expense, so hopefully that's what he'll think too! He's got the number of the friend I ordered them through, so hopefully will call him on Monday to sort it out. However, I have got some renovator for old tiles, so I'm going to give it a try.

TBH I just want him to get a move on and finish... it's taken a lot longer than I'd expected (or his wife expected... she's got lists for him at home!), and I'm fed up with the dirt/stuff in the house and garage. He doesn't seem to have worked out how he's going to line the ceiling yet, as its asbestos so he can't drill into it. Personally (although what do I know  ) I would have thought it would be better to have done the ceiling first, and then the walls - surely batons for the ceiling could have been attached to the framework for the walls?

Anyway, the plan is to tell him that he needs to finish on Thursday, and anything that he hasn't done by then will have to wait until I have time for it, so to bill me for what he's done (it was a fixed price job). I want to be able to clean the house up before I go away for Christmas, so need to do it next weekend, as I have a houseful or am away pretty much every weekend from the New Year onwards!

Right... must get something done... I'm going to hoover and wash (with water) the utility room so I can start putting stuff back in the cupboards/freezer etc, and hopefully also at least get the rest of the house done to level 1. Once the utility room is clean I'll do a patch test of the tile renovator and see what happens! Keep your fingers crossed for me :D

Back from Maplins and all wired for sound again! Nice neighbour phoned just before I left and asked if I could look for something on line for her and either order it for her or get her a phone number. And guess what - Maplin had it! So I shall go and do a Maplin home delivery in a moment or two!

well OH had made it as far as the junk room in the vain hope of trying to do something. When I went after him he was just stood there staring at it all and as he never throws anything away I 'helped' him decide - "you dont need that, what the f... do you want to keep that for, you are not keeping that, and I'm chucking this lot".

We now have 1 bag of rubbish, 2 bags recycling rubbish, 1 bag of plastic rubbish, and one of old wires/cables etc plus the desk has been sorted and put back together.

He's now gone for a lie down :rotfl:
