not since last week, what's up?
  • The Prime Minister of Southern Ireland announce this ban NOT the Min of Agric how can we not believe it is anything but highly toxic? Surely a government wouldn't hazard an industry worth iro 400 million a year just for a "little bit" of contamination?
I'm thinking of becoming a vegetarian. Especially now its been announced that this feed was given to beef herds! Just what are we supposed to think!

When I mentioned the Minister for Agriculture it was in relation to her statement in Stormont yesterday, where she reported that the authorities in the South contacted her on Friday and told her 9 farms in N.Ireland had contaminated feed, when it was later found out they hadn't.

Oh Pretani.. in ref to Lidl.. loads of their stuff just says Produce Of EC or Produce of EU.. Narrows it down a Bit.... If that refers to the same Europe as the Eurovision Song Contest, that could be anywhere including the far flung regions of Russia, Israel or Iceland:rotfl: :rotfl:

Aye Colin, I caught it on after I posted:o :rotfl:
  • Sorry Pretani I meant that the ban wasn't announced by the Min of Agric (or whatever he/she called in the South)

Does that mean that there is no contaminated feed in the North at all?

  • Colin I'm going to buy some grow bags and packets of seeds :rotfl:

Although with my luck the grow bags will contain poisons and the seeds gm :rotfl:

Pork products are fine to buy, although I would hold off on buying any beef that's N.Irish/Irish till we hear more.
  • Is there contaminated feed here in the North then? I thought it was pig feed. Does that mean farmers here have been feeding pig feed to cattle?
Is it only me that is confused?
