    i did take note AussieLass, and it scared the spots off me - but not the ones i wanted scaring off :)

    but i could think of worse applications, and applicators ;)

    Just for info, you can get cold sores in all sorts of odd places - I get them on my wrist and on my back!!!!! And yes, you can get acyclovir in bigger tubes on prescription - but you have to ask.....

    Use a plaster or a marker pen to cover it up. :D

    I agree with Toothsmith, read about Vectavir in the Daily Mail years ago and asked my doctor for a prescription, she gives me two tubes for the one prescription charge. It is the only thing that works on a cold sore, wouldn't use anything else now.

    I got a few tubes from poundland a few weeks ago too...just a cheap version of zovirax.

    I get coldsores in my nose after a bad cold too...most disgusting :confused:

    well my friend gets cold sores on her knee and hip!!! how bizzare, whos been kissing her knee i wanted to know ;-)

    I think you're getting your diseases mixed up!

    Glandular fever is the kissing disease isn't it?

    The only person I've been kissing is the Father Christmas who lives at my house. he hasn't got cold sores.
