Lets see Darragh - perhaps more choices of rewards (I know this is an old point) or staying on the reward subject perhaps rather than being able to get a £10 voucher for say 1150 points and getting £20 (2*£10) for double this amount it would be better to offer the £10 voucher for 1150 but say a £40 voucher for 4400 points (could still be sent out as 4*£10)- this would encourage members to save their points up as they would be getting more for their points.
Also perhaps if the techie guys could find some way to show that we have points pending for certain offers (e.g.where they state that they will be added within 28 days) at least then we would know that Pigsback definitely had a record of us accessing the offer
You could maybe add x amount of points at different levels of points reached - I have no idea of the figures but say an extra 50 points when you got to 2000 points, an extra 150 when you reached 4000 - something along those lines - again this would encourage us to save and not have a massive rush when new rewards became available.
The techie guys could PLEASE fix the bug in the system that makes the majority of quiz winners appear to be from London
Perhaps some form of Pigsback News page - as a method for updating us on issues e.g. when rewards run out - to say that you will be getting stock in soon or not at all - or for other issues where you have maybe had a large number of questions on the same subject0 -

I had the same problem, then realised it was norton which was blocking it. If you have norton antivirus, disable it for 5mins, then refresh the page, there will be a little box half way down the cyberslotz page saying "take up offer". once youve clicked on this, switch norton back on. (you click on the yellow/black circle on the bottom right hand corner of your screen to do this). hth, Choccy.xx
Thanks choccy, not sure if I dare disable my Norton even for 5 mins in case I get a bug. Am I being paranod?essex girl in exile0 -
Hi Darragh,
One of the issues folks here get quite heated about is the rather haphazard timing of the new competitions/quizzes and click-throughs becoming available.
I guess it all depends what kind of image you want to project. If you're a tiny wee company with a very limited staff, then I guess it's only to be expected that the timing goes up the creek sometimes, but if you want to be seen as efficient and successful, then I think you've got to get the timing angle sorted out.
There are also lots of other annoying page glitches which pop up from time to time, which I'm sure you'll be aware of. Again, that sort of thing is OK if the company is being run out of someone's spare bedroom, but it's not really on if professionalism and customer satifaction are the name of the game. I'm sure there are lots of reasons why things go wrong that we don't have a clue about, but making it appear effortless is all part of the show.
I'm not having a go - I love Pigsback; but I'd love it even more without the annoying little gremlins.
Thanks for asking!A penny saved is a penny gained0 -

I found clicking on the link provided by previous posters did not give the points. Instead go to "Offers" on the top bar and select "Going Out" where you should find it. Doing it that way then got me the 10 points.0 -
Quote from Darragh "Putting the member first".
I think this is very small but very important statement.
What you should be saying to you collegues is, that the customer is what makes the site work, and without them, no matter how good and how lovely it looks, the site wouldn't work.
This traffic is very important to you and your sponsors because of obvious reasons.
I think a bit more communication on the site would help, as said before, maybe FAQ's, maybe a Service Status update etc.
You should also tell them that even when things go wrong with the site, that this doesn't matter because the calibre of members that Pigsback have at the moment, as they will keep coming back if you give them the service they are looking for.
It is important to listen to the members, if the criticism is constructive then it should be considered.
On a personal note
I don't write here very much, I'm a member of Pigsback for 6 month(ish) and read this board everyday.
I have read a lot of very negative messages from people expecting things for nothing, these should be ignored,
but the constructive messages, even if negative, have to be taken on board. These are from your members, these members make your site popular, they keep the rest of us up to date with your site, even if it is only to give us answers or click-thrus.
The old saying 'the customer is always right...'
That's my tuppence worth
PS I've bought a few things thru Pigsback at Christmas and joined Cyberslotz and I'm still waiting for points to be added. I'm no martyr, but I can wait another few days for the points to be added, but the longer the wait the more you think that they won't be added.Mac0
