I'll be very cheeky here and ask for help before I offer any.

I'm really really enthused by the amount of posts on here pointing out wrong stuff. Seriously! It's a BIG challenge and I like a challenge. It's just about getting through it one bit at a time, fixing the problems and ensuring that it won't happen again!

So all your posts are not in vain, believe me. We're working on a lot of stuff suggested by you and hopefully some of it will resolve repeating issues. I have also not forgotten about the issues I still have to answer from the last post.

However I need a little help and think you might be the very best members to do it. We have a Company Conference on Thursday, the theme of which is 2006 - Upping the Ante and I've got to present a 5 - 10 minute talk on

    "Putting the member first".

So what should I say to everyone who works within the Company on how in 2006 Pigsback.com can start putting the member (YOU!) first??

Bear in mind I'll be presenting to EVERYONE - the Account managers who sell to clients, the Tech guys responsible for the site, the graphics guys who create and design what you see, the people who write your emails and so on.

I'd like to give a really good presentation on how and why Pigsback.com will succeed by working for you guys, so any help you can give will ultimately help you!

Any and all reasonable suggestions really welcome and for the best ones (the more appropriate ones) I'll credit 100 PiggyPoints to your Pigsback.com account on Friday.

Let me know what you think

    Thanks

    Darragh

PS I promise I'll be back to answer all your queries. Keep them coming!!

I can't sign up to cyberslotz, couldn't register for the lottery either, so am missing out on loads of points. I presume it has something to do with filters?? Not a very twechie person, can anyone help?

I had the same problem, then realised it was norton which was blocking it. If you have norton antivirus, disable it for 5mins, then refresh the page, there will be a little box half way down the cyberslotz page saying "take up offer". once youve clicked on this, switch norton back on. (you click on the yellow/black circle on the bottom right hand corner of your screen to do this). hth, Choccy.xx

If I can just make a comment ref paddy power vouchers, these vouchers are for a 'full stake returned' bet which makes them worth a lot more than they initially seem. I only realised this as I e-mailed paddy power and I did pass it on to Rachel @ pigsback. A lot more people would go for them if they new.

Also I think people should be a bit more constructive as all they seem to do is complain about this and that.

The couple of times i have been in contact, they have emailed me back really quickly which i couldnt believe.

The top priority in any business is the quality of customer service.

    Nice one, Darragh!

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to write your presentation for you!! ;):D

    "Putting the member first ..."

Well, it helps if you believe what a number of members are saying to you! I realise that there will be some PB-ers out there who will do anything to take PB for a ride, getting as much off the site as poss, and contributing very little. But the majority of people, even these days, are pretty honest, and whilst we might be thrilled to collect our Monday pocket money for very little effort, very few of us would actually dare to try to defraud you.

So when a (perhaps) sizeable minority of people say that they are not getting responses to their emails, you have to believe them!

Now, you know Rachel and the other CS staff much better than we do. Like most of us, I bet they are nice people and doing their best. If you accept that, then you must accept that something is stopping them from doing their job as well as they would like to. (I'm sure they are as aware as you are that a number of people are unhappy with the lack of response they get from PB).

So, for me, the first act in getting the company to put the member first would be to install an email system which shows clearly to the staff which emails have been answered but the inquiry is still open, and which emails have been answered and the inquiry is complete.

Not only would that enable the staff to deal with current and open enquiries, it would enable management staff to make rapid checks on what the staff have been able to keep up with. This may affect staffing levels - implying potential recruitment and redundancy Either way, it would be better for PB, and would create confidence amongst members.

See posts on the last thread by Matt` for more detailed explanations.

Enough! That's my two pennorth! Others will have different ideas - and I bet I support most of 'em!

    Kind regards!

Well I would say that a good way to put the customer first is to keep them informed. Maybe by having a "stop press" page which highlights any problems you're aware of, some contact e-mails and maybe even a FAQ. I think this would cut down on your volume of e-mails which ultimately has to be a good ting all round.

Dunno if you wanted this e-mailed? I'll e-mail it if you let me know along with my account details :)

i would like some acknowledgement to emails i send to pigsback in the past months i havent had one reply and i always provide alternate addresses and pigsback is in all my safe lists.....where i work (as a web support analyst, for a very big international company) we have to acknowlegdge customer queries within 4 hours even if it is just to say look we've got ur email and we are looking into a resolution, pigsback seem to have no concept of customer service, if u dont reply to an email we just assume its been ignored even if u are looking into it

I like the fact that Pigsback is different to other portals and has a participatory element, with the quizzes and puzzles and that's why I visit every day - though I admit I miss the 10point clicks! I'd like to see PB maintain this unique selling point and maybe expand with more of these features on a daily or weekly basis (and points are always nice). Yes, I admit I'm a kid at heart and things like advent calendars are absolutely my level!

I have been fortunate, to date, with responses from Rachel to my email queries. As others have posted (Droopsnout is very eloquent) I think one of the strongest positives Pigsback can achieve for their customers is that everyone has my experience.

    Thanks :o
